Wisky_is_Goo
I'd like to start small with a few 500k or 1m stakes. I have a cashpile of about 10m looking to make some money for turm. Any advice as to who to stake under what rules at my stats (in sig)?
Quyneax
You can summoning stake anyone without 95 summoning, for starters. Otherwise, try to do melee stakes versus people with lower levels than you, but avoid 1-handed weapon stakes without specs (rapier will rip you) and don't have prayer enabled (turmoil + ss will rip you). Wisky_is_Goo
Ive heard stuff about swapping attack styles based on when you get hit and are hitting (boxing) ? Whats the details involved in this, and does it apply to other styles of staking as well?

Only staking at equal stats doesn't make money. Dex
Assuming you have enough money, you can make money staking equal stats if you double your stake every time you lose.
Nifflin
Well it makes some people money, but the chances that you will be able to just pick up staking and double your bank are pretty low. The key is to be patient and take advantage of stakes where the odds are in your favor. Edit: The post above me is wrong, you need infinite money for that to work. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying. I didn't even double my stakes an ended up losing 16m in one night doing boxing at max combat stats. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.

You don't need infinite money because your opponent, unlike a casino in RL, does not have infinite money. You only need more money than your opponent. You don't need infinite money because your opponent, unlike a casino in RL, does not have infinite money. You only need more money than your opponent. Casinos in RL also don't have infinite money. That's why there are betting limits. And betting limits = the people you stake with can stop staking with you at any given time/don't always want to stake double of the previous stake. Not really sure what you wanted to say with your post :D More on topic, tho... If you have 10m cash pile, staking 1m is a bad idea. It is indeed a smallish stake, but not a small stake in relation to your bankroll size. I am pretty sure it would be very difficult to find a stake where your edge is so big that you could justify staking 10% of your bankroll. Not understanding bankroll management is the #1 reason why people bust their banks(excluding bug abuse(WOWAVIVA boom, even this wouldn't be a reason if people followed correct BRM in the first place, lol)). They just don't understand it. If you are really serious about staking, start even smaller. Try to find edges, even if they are really small. (The smaller the advantage, the smaller the stake should be.) Advantage of course doesn't mean you should be bug abusing.
