Albel
Weve put together a skilling competition made up of different challenges to find the best skillers out there and we would like to invite you to take part! This competition will be running over two weekends at the end of May. The first week will focus on individual skilling and efficiency, while the second week will focus on clans proving their skilling mettle within RuneScape - it isnt all about combat, yknow! Some of the main categories across each weekend will include: the best average XP, total XP, the clan with the most players gaining 99s and more! You will be able to sign up for as many of the challenges as you like, so make sure your clanmates sign up for the individual challenges too to help show off your clan pride. As the challenges will be taking place each weekend, you will have time to make any necessary preparations. As well as a Hall of Fame that will list those worthy of going down in RuneScape history, individual winners will be rewarded with some signed RuneScape stash and winning clans will be able to design their very own logo to add to the game. Ooooooh! We will also be looking for notable noobs - players who arent necessarily going to be the best, but who have given it their best shot and proven that effort and focus are two of the most important aspects of RuneScape. Those notable noobs that do take part will have the chance of winning a RuneScape goodie bag! There is also a chance to send in screenshots of the best moments of the challenges, from choreographed group photos to ridiculous skilling poses. Its a skilling bonanza! To take part, all you need to do is head over to the Skilling Challenges thread found in the Events forum, sign up and play as much as you like over the challenge weekends. If you like the idea of these challenges then you should also check out our official ongoing Skilling Ladder for clans, and Club 99 a mentor scheme focused on helping players achieve the goal of getting a 99! xpx
Sounds like it could be good for those who do efficient skilling.eeeh... you couldn't be any more wrong. Only one of the challenges is really about efficiency(most average xp an hour) but that is ruined not being able to use reasonable xp boost items and a bag of tricks some may resort to using. Emmentail
The first week will focus on individual skilling and efficiency *scratches head*. Don't these competitions just encourage people to no life?
DeeKay
A Runescape goodie bag, eh, for playing the whole weekend... Now, if it was a Samsung Galaxy S II, a Dell XPS or an all-expense-paid trip to Hawaii I'd totally do it. As for MORE membership and a Runescape mouse pad, I dunno... la la la
Not so much efficiency as who is willing to spend the most money on demonic thrones / cutting dragonstones / other expensive, high-xp skilling methods.

Yea, I remember when they made fight caves not require a single log-in session to finish after complaints about requiring an unhealthy amount of time. These days Jagex seems to no longer care and has given in to the nolife grindy nature of the game (-> completion capes, 120 dg, castlewars cape, etc).
