ZokiRS
Im posting here right now because I have this strange problem with RS.... every site works absolutely great, only RS can't seem to open up for me.... I tried to open everything, homepage, mail pages, hiscores, and even account settings and nothing is opening... I tried to look into the Firewall and the antivirus program if rs was blocked by any reason or even put into the untrusted sites screen but everything was ok with those programs.... Last week, on Wednesday, when I was working on a project on my pc, I was also idling in fishing in RS. The weather was awful then, it was stormy outside and all of a sudden the electricity went down and back up again. When I started my pc, I tried running RS and it wasnt working.I dont know if this explains what the problem might be, but I hope it helps. Can someone please help me???? I tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING, and RS still doesnt open, the site is just a blank page and nothing else...PLEASE HELP!!!!

Aslan
Try this: uninstall Java, then install the latest version. Can you access the main page? Go to the download section and download the client that Jagex provides.Try using that and see what happens.

D. V. Devnull
<<<Quote Snip>>> Doesn't sound like a Java issue to me.I'll second that, and I hope someone hasn't messed with ZokiRS's LAN Router. IMO, ZokiRS needs to clear their browser cache without their browser being fully up and running. If that doesn't work, then we'll need a full list of system specs and an HJT Log, just to name a few pieces of information that might help determine what's gone wrong. Heck, if and when ZokiRS reads this, I would like to know if anything has changed in their LAN Router. :-k ~D. V. "So many options, so many questions to ask..." D. V. Devnull
ZokiRS, have you checked your Hosts file? I would like to think there isn't something about runescape in there, but it might be a good idea to check, just in case someone/something messed with it. :( ~D. V. I don't know what I was thinking when I typed out that post earlier, now that I've re-read the whole thread. #-o It's just really mind-boggling though how only certain parts are working. Further, it's odd how they come and go, as well as how they work off and on. I'm almost beginning to think it's time to ask for an HJT Log, because I'm bonking my head on the wall trying to figure out what's going on. :wall: ~D. V. PlzPuddngPlz
Well, the fact that RS isn't working on multiple computers points to something either wrong with your connection or all of those computers deciding to not work all at once. Just so we can rule out the second option, do you have another connection you could use (friend's wi-fi, local library or school) to make sure it's not the computers? EDIT: when you look at your posts after you've posted them, there should be a "edit" button in the bottom-right corner. If you could use that instead of multi-posting, it'd be nice. Sig by me, in MS paint, but I'm still working on it. Sbrideau
Not working on multiple computers points out to something outside of them. Have you checked your router to see if the game's address isn't blocked on it? I don't think they would be able to ping the ip if it was in the hosts file.Entries in the hosts file don't affect ping, but the name would have resolved to an IP address not otherwise associated with runescape.com (so the host defined in the hosts file would have been pinged instead of 82.211.114.127)I stand corrected.
