Demeige
Not at all. My taste buds must be impossibly weak because I tried Wasabi once with tempura and it burned so much the feeling went into my nostrils and I started to tear. How does a profession differ from an occupation?
Onigunsow
I don't really like a lot of things that are more than slightly spicy.
Kwisatz
I've become desensitized to spicy foods, so I have a much higher tolerance than others. I took half a spoonful of horseradish and it wasn't as bad as my friends thought it was. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"
jaklumen
I love spicey curries, especially if i have a cold, they really clear my nose. But i don't like food too spicey that i drink so much water that i'm up all night going to the toilet. Not to mention... umm, nevermind. I'll merely say just like it burns when it goes in, it burns...
Kwisatz
Ahh, Thai has possibly the SPICIEST food evah. I went to a Thai resturant and ordered the "Lava Chicken"....AHAHAHA, I don't suggest it. I was in tears. But it was actually good. There is also a resturant about ten minutes from my house called Tijuana Flats. There are only like, eight or ten in the country, most of which are in Florida...there is one in Tennessee, Georgia, and Indiana (why Indiana?). Anyhow, I'm a Hoosier. Cut to the chase...they have the world's HOTTEST hot sauce and the world's hottest food additive. From the site: Chet's Gone Mad - This sauce is the hottest product ever created. It is strictly a food additive and should not be used as a condiment. It is made from capsaicin (pepper extract...the stuff they use in pepper spray) and measures in at an unbelieveable 1.5 million Scoville Units. It is 700 times hotter than Tabasco pepper sauce!! Should be used only by people who are experienced at handling chilies. This very concentrated sauce comes in a special eye-dropper bottle, inside of a plastic medicine container. Price for 1.8 oz: $35 AND you must sign a waiver and be 18+ years of age ------------ Before you talk spicy, try this stuff in your food. Here is the hottest condiment as taken from their site. Smack My wagon The Slap Heard Around World - This is the hottest condiment on earth. Tijuana Flats mixed the best tasting ingredients with capsaicin (the ingredient used in police pepper spray) to make the hottest - greatest tasting sauce on earth. This sauce was designed for people who think they can handle any sauce. This sauce was featured on the national television shows The Today Show & Live With Regis & Kathy Lee. It has been featured in national magazines ranging from Food & Wine to Popular Mechanics. Also, use a coin to scratch off the hand print on his wagon!! That's all. My dad retails food, and he has a hot sauce that's 5 MILLION SHU. He tried it and he started crying. I was way too afraid to do the same. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"
jabraulter
That could kill you. Your throat would swell and you would suffocate. I doubt it was 5 million Scoville units.

I doubt it was 5 million Scoville units. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scoville_Heat_Unit There's a hotter one that's 7.3 million SHU. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. MyPurpleCrayon
I'm obsessed with all Spicy Foods. Like... the first thing I ate was salsa from a spoon. Mmmm. :P Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.

xxsheepxx
i like mildly spicy food, but more of the "red" spicy (like salsa etc), and not so much of "green" spicy like wasabi, or jalapeno peppers.

I doubt it was 5 million Scoville units. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scoville_Heat_Unit There's a hotter one that's 7.3 million SHU. Oh, that's a food additive. You cannot eat that directly otherwise it WILL kill you. And additive is different in that it is mixed in with other food to make it hot. Hot SAUCE is used more as a condiment. Yes, 7.1 million SHU is VERY hot, but it's a food additive. It's nasty to think that The Source is three and a half time hotter than the pepper spray that the police use. And to think how much people sriggle with that stuff...
