AHappySeeker
They're not treated normally with regards to combat state in every other way so I'm wondering if this is any different. Curse me for not chinning them, I know.
Mini_Spawn
chaotics degrading might be counted by the number of hits that you perform (that is the way its commonly presented when doing an analysis of a chaotic weapons cost), which leads me to believe that only when you are actually fighting death spawns will your chaotic degrade. Admittedly, my understanding of game mechanics is rather small so I can only speculate (: Treat my advice as such.
AHappySeeker
I was under the impression of chaotic degrade being based on the number of enemies in combat with you rather than ones that you are actively attacking.
Saradomin_Mage
You'd have to see if death spawns degrade a barrow item, because they work on similar "in-combat" mechanics. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
Quest_Cape_K
Barrow's items and chaotics are different, chaotics degrade faster the more enemies you have attacking you and and degrade if you attack.
Saradomin_Mage
They have the same conditions for being in combat though, so you could work it out from there. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
All_Is_Great
AFAIK, they don't. I was doing a task in the tower the other day, and checked my rapier to see if it degraded any faster, but it only degraded around 2% over a task of 194, which is about normal. Wkw
When fighting 1v1, barrows and chaotics degrade the same When fighting in multi, they degrade the same When fighting in multi with a cannon, chaotics degrade faster. The number of times you attack is how chaotics measure use. While barrows are either in or not in combat, chaotics count every npc you attack as in combat So as long as you aren't cannoning, they will last 10 hours I may be wrong I probably am wrong Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
AHappySeeker
Can someone confirm that it's only based on enemies being attacked and not both enemies being attacked and enemies attacking you?
Quyneax
Grimy Bunyip tested it at the Lighthouse, the dagganoth are agressive and his rapier did degrade very quickly. Now the question isn't if being attacked drains chaotics (it does), but whether spawn are considered creatures. All_Is_Great
I'll just put this out there again, from personal experience, it did not degrade any faster. 2% on a task of 200~.
