Slayer Masters?

Based on my stats, is it a good idea to move on to Duradel? I've been doing Sumona for quite a while, so I wanted to know if its time for a change. I know that technically I can, but I'm not sure if the requirements are just a number or a recommendation. Also, does it matter what slayer master I go with if I'm trying to get 80 slayer as soon as possible? Any other tips on reaching 80 slayer would be great too. Thanks for the help!

If I'm not wrong, the consensus was that Duradel was a massive troll with his task list, and you should stick to Sumona until you can get to Kuradal.

You might want to wait for the serious slayers to get here ... I can't remember how I got to 80+ slayer myself.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

I switched to Duradel as soon as I could.

Either way - the difference was a few tasks.

I felt that Duradel gave better tasks (I got a lot more black demons/hellhounds/etc)

Sumona gave a lot of tasks that were just super easy but that can be good and bad.

I think the only real difference would be - if your combat level was extremely low or you couldn't afford pray pot/piety in which case Sumona would be a good choice.

If you really want slayer to 80 as quickly as possible I seriously suggest that you get piety which means 15 more prayer levels so if you have the money get this as quickly as possible. As to slayer masters I don't think there is that much difference between Duradel and Summona but I would highly suggest that you move on to Kuradel as soon as you can.

Anyhow - I got bored and decided to list the differences

Sumona - Banshees, Basilisks, Blue Dragon, Cave Crawlers, Cave Horrors, Elves, Kurasks, Red Dragons, Spiritual Warriors, Terror Dogs, Trolls, Turoth

Duradel - Dark Beasts, Gorak, Scabarites, Skeletal Wyvern, Warped TBirds

I did Sumona as soon as I could until I unlocked Duradel

TBH, I didn't get most of these tasks (i.e Cave Crawlers/Cave Horrors/Elves/Kurasks/Red Dragons/Spiritual Warriors/Tdogs/Turoth/Dark Beasts/Skeletal Wyvern/Warped TBirds)

The monsters I did get from Sumona took longer to kill and aren't really even efficient to cannon

Duradel's Gorak/Scarabites are extremely fast with a cannon and I didn't have much trouble with his task list.

Sumona also liked to give me stupid dust devils which just suck in general.

Yeah, dark beasts and wyverns don't come into play until Kuradal (who assigns both, and both are worth doing below 99 summoning) and goraks, scarabites and warped terrorbirds are good powerslaying tasks, multicombat, cannonable and such. Scarabites are also really exciting in a sense (high-damage environment), and decent enough crims.

On the other hand, banshees and especially crawlers are nice to cannon in the well, but red dragons are out of the way (unless you did Karamja elite) and things like spiritual warriors and kurasks are just... junk.

Thanks for all the advice. Unfortunately, I got hacked and lost like 1m and a whip, so Slayer is getting put on hold. At least I didn't lose me really good stuff, but I still gotta make some cash. Thanks again for the help.

Use duradel for every 10th task for the bonus and stick to sumona till u get to kurdal. Thats' what I'd suggest. Others might differ. I did that personally.

^ this. I did that till 86 slayer, then luradal was released, then switched to her after a friend convinced me. stayed with her till 99 <3

I don't know which mod did this. I don't know why they did it. If they're looking for money, I can tell them I don't have any as I'm a student. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over 4 years of RuneScape. Skills that I have worked hard for and people like them can't take them away. If they give me my particles back now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for them, I will not pursue them. But if they don't, I will look for them, I will find them, and they won't like what'll happen

Duradel used to be an idiot with tasks, but it was updated that you couldn't get the same task in a row. After this update he became pretty good actually, it's good that you switched to him.
