I farm snaps, and was wondering if you think snaps will go back up again? Not sure if I should keep on to them or sell now.

 

And what do you think is the reason for snaps crashing?

I imagine they will go back up shortly - they will definitely go back up before the BXPW in September so that is when I'm gonna sell my stock - to be honest they're are still good profit.

Generally, most things are going to crash in price over time.

More people getting the farm levels = More people able to farm snap = More snaps = Cheaper snapes

 

Herb farming is extremely easy and a good source of profit so people are going to continue doing it

You can easily get about 30-40 snapdragons an hour - and they make super restores. Do you use up to 30-40 snapdragons an hour - averaged over your time playing?

By this logic, those same herb farmers would eventually get higher levels for herbs like torstol while newer farmers get the levels for snapdragon, so they kind of nullify each other. Plus, most things will rise in price over time because of inflation.

What with more people getting the scroll of cleansing and realising how profitable making snap unfs are, snaps price will stay low.

They will keep crashing.

 

Bots are driving down the prices of all herbs, snaps indirectly.

snaps will keep crashing until they become not the best money maker for farming.... Once an item is known to be a good moneymaker, tons of people will do it, driving up the supply and down the price...

Torstols are better and have been better for a long time.

Torstols are only really better with Juju's and a Scroll of Life also 85 farming is a much higher requirement than 62.

Maybe if the exp needed to get to the next level was linear but it's clearly not.

What you have then is more people entering into the snapdragon market and not as many people leaving for the torstol market.

 

In addition, you also need jujus for torstol which again creates another barrier to entrance.

 

You expect it to go back up to more then twice its price? Highly unlikely.

Prices crash when all these people farm herbs because its profitable and very easy to do - same with all other good money makers.

 

We just have to find other things to do and get out of that market before the vast majority of RSers catch on

Thanks for all the replies. Seems they will most likely keep dropping over time so will just sell them now.

If you don't need the money right now, i'd suggest keeping them and selling them in late august/early september when the announcement regarding the upcoming bxpw will be made... At least that's what i'm doing.

Unless bonus exp weekend never comes

Just sold them, will make more by flipping than holding on to the herbs. BTW, they went down 300 gp today
