This isn't the Runescape i knew and loved :cry: .

What kind of a game would want to look and feel like WoW in 2012 ? Quite frankly, WoW looks and feels terribly outdated... ... Not saying Runescape doesn't ...

I like this update, but the fires not getting bigger screams lazy coding. Oh jagex...

Since i'm almost done with school I decided to start playing again. So this happened:

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but what's the deal with EoE ? I've read/seen about EoE a lot recently on tif. Are they recruiting only tifers like dgs back in the day or what ?

This time around they really were fixing something that was "broken".

I really don't get the hate for these graphics. I am now convinced that 70% of the playerbase consists of sociopaths who hate any kind of change.

Finally got this: Pulled myself together and grinded 85 - 95 in a week. I bought the bones for 70 - 95 back in august when the bones were the cheapest. If i had bought the bones as i went along this would've cost me almost twice as much.

And Jagex continues their hatred of macs. Activating bloom crashes rs on both of my macs. Works fine in boot camp though.

Meh. Terrible text on the website. Some of the text is really bad. Really really really bad. I can't figure out why would they use text that looks that ugly. Also the highscores are really confusing Also, i really wish they brought news back to the front page. /Ok, now it appears that the news are in the front page. How come i didn't see them before. I'm not even going to talk about the icons on the new interface... The interface itself is just fine, but the icons. Jesus Christ their fugly.

Most of the zybez users quit the game back in 2007 and are now making new "runescape is an addiction" threads weekly. It might be different now, I haven't browsed the forum in years.

Half of the fan base ? At this very moment of the players online only 18% are using f2p worlds. F2P is already dead and Runescape is now on life support. Sad. I am a member and i would definitely support you guys if you decided you will protest, even though protesting won't help. Jagex is determined to kill this game for good.

My biggest problem is that this update will [bleep] over all the progress tracking websites. I've been member for years continuously, but usually i re-subscribe a day or two after the membership running out, that means that the tracking website will think that i have gained all my xp in a day or i'm a new user after resubscribing and re-appearing on the highscores. After all the awesome recent updates they've decided to do this. Wow, Jagex has sunk low and i don't even know if this company is worth supporting with 6 a month.

Fantastic! Now they need to do something about flower game. I'm generally against gambling in RS, but staking in duel arena shouldn't be removed in my opinion.

Endgame content is not going to save the game. Most of the current veteran/high leveled community is here to stay. Jagex needs new players. Honestly, most of the players i encounter are 120+ these days. RS needs better content for low levels, bosses for lower leveled player etc. Something to give new players incentive to keep on playing. But honestly, Runescape is doomed, this game can't be saved. The kiddie image that has stuck with the game since the miniclip days and the below average graphics even on the highest settings are the main reasons there are very few new players joining us. Also, most of the younger gamers out there can't handle grindy and slow paced gameplay ( i have seen people bashing half life series because of it's slow paced gameplay ). Rs is a previous generation mmo and becoming a modern mmo is impossible without alienating the current playerbase Tl;dr Runescape's image is killing the game. In order to survive, Jagex should stop focusing on Rs asap and start focusing on Stellar Dawn and the upcoming transformers mmo instead. Also, shoving the whole "subscribe now, get amazing knife" shit has to be stopped, since there aren't any free players left, and there are even less new players.

Anyone figure out how to take the cithara yet ?
