July 13, 201115 yr Well, I did some quick calculations and worked out that if I sell my Bandos armour, I'll be looking at around about 94 Prayer, with some 700k till 95. That's awesome. I'm decided in that I'll be doing this, but now I'm wondering, how does Barrows compare to it these days? I know it's a higher defence than Bandos, lacking the Strength bonus. And what parts should I be looking at? I recall Verac's skirt with one of the other melee brothers' top was the way to go a while back, but I'm not too sure now. It's not terribly important, considering I'm Fishing, Farming and Cooking at the moment, but I'd like to have some armour in case the urge to slay appears. Also, are Infernal ashes still that slight bit better than Dragon bones? July 13, 201115 yr I would recomend verac skirt and if you don't mind BA then go and get torso for top, others wise just get torag or dharok top. Good Timber does not grow with ease, the stronger the wind, the stronger the trees. There is dignity in suffering, nobility in pain, but failure is a salted wound, that burns over and over again.

July 13, 201115 yr Don't forget that Guthan's top has the same defence as Torag's and Dharok's. And it looks great on it's own, so don't be afraid to get that. I'm not an efficienado.
July 13, 201115 yr Barrows is equal or worse than Bandos anywhere really, Verac's skirt being the best piece out of all Barrows items. For slayer and frost dragons the strength bonus of Bandos reigns, for Dagganoth kings the additional ranged defence and lower magic attack penalty are valuable, for Bandos god wars the tassets provide strength, ranged defence and a Bandos item, for Zamorak god wars it improves your healing through ss flashing, the Kalphite queen rips through your defence anyway so the strength is needed to rip her back, anything weaker than that can't hit you hard enough to need the additional defence from Barrows items. Verac's skirt is equal to tassets at places where camping (prayer bonus) is important.
