For me this is actually very simple. An [wagon] is an [wagon] nomatter age, gender, religion, race or other variables. Yes, the max regular prison sentencing here is 21 years, however if the get him convicted by some special criteria he can be sentenced to "forvaring" (detainement) he can be kept imprisoned indefinitely.

 

I just hope most sincerely that everybody won't let this lead to cries for revenge and more blood. Way too many have lost their lives, lost their loved ones and been physically and mentally scarred for life. This is a time for unity, not fragmentation.

After having lived in Norway for 6 summers and being here for 7th, I kinda know what that man talks about when he is saying that immigrants ruin the national culture. Too many of them here, too open immigrational policies. On Arctic Circle, the shop had workers ethnically from Africa... Black(well, not only black, people from every ethnicity/nationality) come here without wanting to learn the language and start working, just to get the social aids...

 

Am not too surprised about people with those views, only surprised that he attacked Norwegians.

There really is no justice in this world. It's very unfortunate to think there are people who are so sure of themselves they will kill people. My condolences to the Norwegian people.

This man obviously has a very disturbed opinion on how the world should be. I have personally read a lot of his manuscript in order to try and understand why he did this. The only thing I understand, is that this truly makes sence in his head.. The level of detail on how to obtain anything from the bomb materials to weapons and armor is nothing but scary. It is basically a guide on how to do stuff like this. And it is written in a way that it sometimes reminds me of guides for computer games..

1.) As stated, how can you not politicize a political act of terrorism? It's already BEEN politicized by the NYT, the WashPo, etc. In fact, that politicization regarding Muslims/al Qaeda is specifically what I'm attacking.

Re-read what has been stated: Glenn is saying that this event has revealed just how ridiculous the media -- including the "liberal" NYT -- has become when it comes to Muslims and al Qaeda; not that this is the fault of "Sarah Palin's rhetoric." I can't find the article from my newspaper, but it was talking about how some people tried to survive by acting like they were dead. The gunman, after shooting people, went around and shot everyone again in the head with a shotgun. That struck me, because that's exactly what I would have done: faked dead. And not even that saved them.

Frangibles would not have made much difference. They are essentially identical to regular ammunition in their lethality characteristics; the only difference is that they are designed not to kill things behind the target. Why he would use such ammunition, particularly if it's illegal in Norway, is beyond me.
