Strangely enough, my most badass member isn't the Lucario that can Mega Evolve but the Azumarill I got on Route 3. She hasn't once fallen in the Red, pretty much has either 1-shotted or 2-shotted everything that didn't resist her since Level 30ish, and can basically walk in nearly anything and not give two damns before returning the favor. The funny thing is that I have probably have a double-digit count on the things that died to me via Flame Body or Rocky Helmet recoil.Eh Laverre is on the other side of route 14, which is supposed to have tons of rain. November 3, 201312 yr At least I have some comedy/mood whiplash for when I show the Nuzlocke on the Nuzlocke forums. Wulfric is nothing. Abomasnow falls to one fire attack, a physical attack will murder Cryogonal and Avalugg's Sp. Def is barely double its speed, which happens to be near the same level as Musharna's. Honestly, the Level 59 Avalugg only looks intimidating. Wulfric is still an absolute bro though. There is a reason he is up there as my favorite Gym Leader along with Korrina, Volkner, Drayden, and Skyla.
November 3, 201312 yr See, here's the problem. Go Dragonair! Switch Dragonair with another dragon. That dragon likely gets hit with an ice attack. Repeat this for every single mon I fight. Doesn't work well. If I just went with my regular team of lvl 65 pokemon I should be able to murder almost everyone with one hit. Squab unleashes Megiddo! November 3, 201312 yr So why is he doing a Dragon mono-run? I am curious. You know, Azumarill is what I look for in a glacier. Not only it can take a hit, but it doesn't give a [harpy] if is hit. While I loved Torterra a lot when I did a Platinum run, it kinda was offset by that ice weakness that made its tanking suck-y at times. Yache basically is a consumable berry that reduces the damage from an Ice-attack. You may want to farm them.

And this game just offers enough dragons in the early game - I wonder traded for Axew right before I explored the cave you can catch him in. Then, in the open area past the caves that leads up to Abrette town I caught a bagon. Then when I had the fossil choice I googled it and found out I could use dragons. I loved the idea of using powerful dragons throughout the game rather then save them mostly for end game. I caught a garchomp and goomy when I had the chance. (Actually, I had no intention whatsoever of catching Goomy. Then I saw a shiny one while grinding on route 14 and started hucking ultra balls at it.) Oh and I chose Charmander as my secondary starter mon. Who mega evolves into a blue/black Dragon/Flying Charizard, which was basically why I bought the game. Squab unleashes Megiddo!
