Nazgul740
Think about it for a few seconds... just think it doesn't take just haveing good stats... yes that is a large portion of it but seriously pking is a skill.... It takes the skill to lure your opponent down to low health and then to kill him before he teleports or runs You can't just take 1000 lobbs and some good stats 40 att 80 str and automatically own.... you have to know when to eat time it right... have to know where the people nearist your level will be pking at... You have to devlop such skill that you can not only use food and cut even but that you will be able to grow rich from pking... A pkers greatist enemy isn't the opponent that he is fighting... its the amount of food he must buy to keep pking... eventually you will get a pk... but brother in 300 lobbs 70 deaths and 1 rune skimmi just aren't enough... Pking is not a normally jagex made skill its what the rs community made its their skill... ok i just wanted to say that... 8) New sigzor^^

stanford
The timing and planning of pk'ing are essential. You cannot walk into the wilderness with a full load of mantas wearing full torag with a whip and just expect you to own everyone. To be a good pk'er you must learn (from experience) how to kill a person using as little resources as possible, how to work in a team/clan, how to avoid possible dangers. A popular tactic these days in ice barrage+puncture. Cast ice barrage while wielding a dragon dagger (the Special attack must be set) then you'll run over to the enemy and hit them with the special attack. If you pull it off just right, the dd(s) special and ice barrage will all hit at once. The max damage for this a strenght bonus of +58 is around 98. Very, very, few people will survive that. (keep in mind, you won't hit max with the tactic but once every 100 times. You must have a back up plan.

You must have a back up plan. it looks like the damage hits the sasme time but it doestn ;) it hits at the time u click it and if the defender knows that and eats he would survive. but usualy they will be trying to click on the map to run away and dont have time to eat. so after getting them low hp with ice spells killing with 1-4 specs is very probable. also when i pk on my main whos a mage i cannot fight a ranger with 80+ range and expect to win, I have to know what im doing so I can, get away, scare him off, change outfits and own. As you can see you need more then food and pots u also need to bring different types of armor and weapons so u can adjust to the people that are attacking/defending you. for example if your maging and they put on hides and mage pray a good idea would be to turn on smite and quikly use a few dagger specs while they wear their low melee def hides. Well theres many more tactics and one thing i just thought of is: You need to know who to attack and who to run away from or who not to spend ur time and suplies on. Nazgul740
 your not even close timeing is everything... eating food at just the right time is almost essntial for pures and a must have for f2p also... clicking to pick up arrows should also be timed... when to cast a bind or a blast spell....timed when to hop behing a tree to shrug off an attacker... timeing Also a great f2p tactic is sort of like one of the others posted here but a f2p version.... bind a dude then cast a blast then click attack... the damage shows up at the same time... :P you can do the same thing with range and mage also... its an easy way to get some fast damage New sigzor^^

Ragingflamez
he will tele lol anyway you also need a fast internet, non-laggy world (sydney worlds lag 2 much), recommended: a friedn with you to help you and alert you (e.g. you are pking and a clan appears on teh map and you are too busy looking at your prizes and then your friend tells you a clan alert)

Who
What I dont get about Pk'ers is why they use entangle before tele-block? I've been hit by entangle about 20 times abyss crafting and survived everyone with my useful Paddewanna tele.
