This is in a way similar to the other topic which is people try to talk to you and you don't reply so they think your a bot... Well this is happening in my clan. I turn off all chat when I train my combats because it requires too much mouse use so I don't want to distract myself. So all day people in the clan have been calling me a bot. Well the problem with this is that I'm more than likely going to have to find a new clan and will get mass reported. It's just irritating, I tried explaining the situation to them and they refuse to listen and just go with what happened one day (first day I've trained combat in this clan)....... SUCKS

Don't join a clan if you're not going to get involved in the community. And don't join a clan if you haven't looked into their community first. Check tip.it and zybez's clan sections for a place worth spending your time on.

I was involved. Did citadel work and all that stuff. It just so happened that turning all my chats off is a "ritual" for me. I shouldn't be shunned for it regardless. In my opinion of course.

Involved != chopping a tree for 5 hours a week.

Clans are community based that thrive on talking, player interaction, relationships, etc. Upkeep of a citadel is only the tiniest fraction of what a clan is about. Which isn't your fault if you don't know that because you're new to clans. The crop of new clans that sprung out are from a bunch of green players who haven't gone through the experience of what makes a proper clan. Most of them are just "OMG LOL CASTLE IN THE SKY AND PRETTY CAPES".

Personally I don't see the reasoning in wanting to join a clan if you're not going to talk and get to know people, ritual or not.

You should always join a clan though, so you can get a vexillum that gives you free teleports whenever.

Still, there are plenty of other clans out there. There's a reason why I joined the clan I'm currently in, it's because of the people in it. I love to chat when scaping even if I know it will distract me quite a bit.

Teh cape & Castle!

Personally I find with clans (real ones that is) you're either all in or you may as well be out. Sounds like you need more of a non-clan clan.

I completely disagree with most of you. Yes, you should chat/socialise with clan. However, if sometimes you want to train a bit more concentrated, that should be entirely up to you. If you NEVER enter/talk in clan chat then obviously that's a different matter.

He didn't say he is not talking etc. He just went one day with chat off and gets accused for botting, a clan is not work you don't have to be always involved.

Exactly, when I train I don't like to talk. Other than that if I was questing or just messing around I'd be social as always.
