Rapier Staking stats?

So, what would be the best rapier staking stats?

Obviously maxed combat, but I don't want to spend 3-4 months grinding away at armoured zombies for that. Something more manageable in the 80-90 combat range.

80 Attack (obviously)

?? Strength

?? Def

As high hp as possible?

I'm not an extremely experienced staker, but either you need to advertise the max level you'll face or just get maxed for the best odds. A lot of the people rapier staking will be easily 90-99 in all cb stats. If you choose to stay at lower levels there wont be as many people to stake and they're probably going to be staking less.

Slayer; it's just what I do.

Ideal stats: higher than your opponent. Other than that, 80 att, 99 str, highest defence you can be bothered to get?

CLS (if not using VLS). It's a decent KO.

Why would anyone box/rapier/stake in general without max stats? Staking is already 100% chance, 50% in your favor (boxing ofc), staking with stats less then 99 will turn the odds out of your favor pretty damn quick. Not to mention you'll have to advertise "Rapier, staking my levels" and stand around forever trying to find one...

Well if you don't plan your stats well the odds are out of your favor, but if you have stats more suitable for the kind of staking you are doing the odds are in your favor. It's not possible for two opponents to both have a less than 50% chance of winning.

What about the miniscule chance of some sort of power outage or server failure or something that would cause them both to get kicked off without resolving the duel? Maybe a rollback? As long as the chance of that is more then 0, it is actually possible to two opponents to both have less then 50% chance of winning. Lol.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Edit: wouldn't this be more appropriate in the PKing H&A subforum? I realise that it's pretty dead, but the fact that people don't post there is one of those reasons.

Most stakes these days are armour off, so Defence is far less necessary than with boxing/mage boxing. I'd go for 80 Attack, 90~ Strength and 90 + Hitpoints with 1 Defence/Summoning/Prayer ideally. If staking in that level range you need to wary of players with lower attack using CVLS/CSH. Basically, if you plan to get Defence, you need 99 Strength. The advantage of not having it & staking higher levels is that although you might have a ~40% chance to win, if they 2x you'll come out ahead.

As for other Chaotics, some people like a CLS for last hitting/juking with Obstacles On (the fact that you're not standing toe to toe negates the faster speed of a Rapier).

Examples:

- with Obstacles.

- at lower levels (68 or so, I'm guessing).
I found a panda and then we bought malt liquor. I hold my malt liquor better than a panda.

And I thought my weekends were good. ._.
