I'm not sure if this is new, but I noticed that when the toolbar updated this afternoon we got a newer looking quest symbol for the repeatable content. I decided to right click and see if there were any other new things and I found that you could add a radio player to the toolbar. I'm not sure if this is new, but if this is relatively new I think it would be cool to hear some Jagex podcasts.

The radio is old news. I didn't even notice the change to the quest icon.

Toolbar is only for IE/Firefox. I use Google Chrome and have downloaded the RS toolbar Chrome extention that Bored321 (that's his tip.it username) made, which, in my opinion, is better and much prettier than Jagex's! :thumbup:

No it isn't, although they say it is only for IE/FF on their website, there is a google chrome icon if you click on the page and I can download (on a mac) it with google Chrome and install it. I can't however with Safari :( And I don't want any other browser then Safari :P

I uninstalled the toolbar because it made random words underlined with ads on them (am I the only one with this problem?)

Yeah but the chrome version is not a toolbar (or an extension either really), as it injects it into the top of every page causing increased loading and rendering times..

 

But as for the radio, that's been there for as long as I can remember (and has nothing to do with Jagex/Runescape like all the other options just another way for conduit to add more adware/spyware).

It is quite handy for Tears of Guthix and MTK, shame I can't use it at safari and you can't download it as an app for your computer or iPad.

I never use toolbars because they make my computer slow and cluttered.

 

I mean, have you ever had to fix someones computer and thier IE6 has like 2 aol, a yahoo, a ASK, a casino and some random undistinguishable toolbar?

It is kind of silly because they have a iphone/ipod app which gives you the RSS feeds about runescape news, blogs, youtube etc. But they didn't make the toolbar into an app... it is not that difficult and it is a much better idea then to make a toolbar...

That app sucks too, what a waste of time.
