That's a nice guess, but no. :P

But I should create a new account and snag the name first, haha.

CHAPTER 3

[hide=Chapter 3: Things will get more serious from now on..]

After escorting the man to safety the day before, Xenia had proposed that she had a quest for me. A lady named Ilona was kidnapped, and was about to be taken in for a sacrifice by 'The Blood Pact'. The word sacrifice shocked me. Challenged, I took on the quest, and headed down the catacombs, preparing for the imminent battle,

launch.png

My training has proven itself when I blaze through the catacombs, downing Kayle with my sword, Caitlin with my sharpshooting skills. And then I finished off Reese with a swing of my scimitar. They fell one-by-one under my wrath, with no escape in sight.

bloodpact.png

I was feeling nice, so I let all of them go after that. :D So with ease, I managed to rescue Ilona and bring her back to Xenia, while also unlocking the pathway to the catacomb training grounds! I would go in the future of my adventures, but for now, I have a greater place to be at.

bloodpact2.png

Then Xenia decided to make my day with this comment,

fatex.png

"And indeed I will!"

So here are my stats as of chapter 3, (with a brand new sword to go with!)

statsqy.png

I realized that I started with a total level of 35, and now I'm at 50. It may seem alot, but it's very slow progress. So instead of messing around, I decided to pace up a little with my adventures. I ran to the nearby Axe Shop owned by Bob. I had a stack of coins in my inventory, but he was willing to give me a pickaxe and a hatchet, all for free! I made my way a little south, where I spotted some trees earlier. :D

I started chopping nearby trees. But the ambience of the swamp made it hard to. (There were even gravestones nearby!) Call me crazy, but I think I heard some voices :ohnoes:

93713477.png

Swinging my hatchet at the trees more furiously than ever, I quickly gained a few logs, light them, and ran away as quick as someone with 99 agility!

24774599.png

And found a much better place to woodchop. :D

wc2k.png

So after 15 minutes or so, my inventory was filled with logs. I carried the logs around the city, looking for the closest general store to sell my logs to. You see, I am really poor, and I needed the money to buy iron. So as I was walking around for the store, I came between a Lumbridge guard and a goblin!

goblinnguard.png

Apparently the goblins have been harassing the town citizens, and these guards are working to stop the goblins from disrupting the peace of the city. The guard had told me to help kill the goblins. So I reached for my bag pack, took out my tinderbox and logs, and started lighting fires all over the place!

burnb.png

I was hoping I could burn some goblins, or destroying their home, so that they seek refuge somewhere else. Unfortunately, my fires did little, and the goblins didn't burn under them. They must be immune to fire.

Deciding that me being there was little of purpose, I left the area, lighting my final log, at the same time achieving this

"Here I go!" > You're holding Reese's sword already :P By the way, it's also Caitlin and not Airiane, that's the Sig Hero :P

Satisfying your pyromania for now? Have fun ;)

Haha. :) that will be my reader's job to find out.

I might be hosting like 'Whoever finds me, and trades be exactly 3 bones will be rewarded with a reward of 10M." in the future, once I've done some quests and gaine some stats.

It would be interesting if another made a newb account to act as a sort of arch nemesis or rival. It would be kinda like Pokemon where you have a great storyline and travel going, but keep crossing the rival at key points. :P

I'm loving the new chapter by the way. It's a shame you killed all three (like I have room to talk since I did it on my main and spared 2 on my alternates). Cannot wait on the installment of the fourth chapter. :^_^:

Chapter 3 isn't quite done yet. I have loads of photos on my computer, which I'm sadly not allowed to use right now. I'll make a post when I update it. Thanks for all the feedback so far. :D

@Armorare: I really hope that doesn't happen. :P Cause as a real scaper, you would see less entertainment and more grinding, which I hope I don't give in this blog.

You are merciful, indeed, noble warrior to spare the lives of such villainous scum. Keep up the great work.

btw - is it just me, or does Xenia look like a guy in drag now?

Wait - I thought you were some hero type character or something? But you butchered tons and tons of men just to kill one goblin :P

Acceptable losses concept?

Those men have not died in vain! For their deaths have served their purpose as stepping stones on my oncoming quest to be the ultimate adenturer!

they respawn anyway

EDIT: Since you guys mentioned it.. Xenia does look like a guy in drags. O_o

[hide=Chapter 4: Survival skills]

As I approached the general store to sell off the remaining logs I had in my bag pack for some pocket change, I noticed there was a store selling fish nearby! I went in, and see what sort of food the store was selling. Unfortunately, the store was empty, and they had no stock. But I told Hank I really needed food, and he was willing to sell me a crayfish cage and a fishing net for a whooping 18 coins!

Honestly, I hesitated awhile, but after a slight negotiation with Hank, I managed to get both of them for only 15 coins!

hankiz.png

I dashed out of the shop, eager to test out the new items I had bought, then realization struck me. "Where the hell am I going to start fishing?" I recall that the swamp I was in earlier was relatively close to an ocean, but crayfish are freshwater crustaceans! I can't find them at the sea!

So I went back to Hank, who saw it through my eyes that I had no idea where to start fishing. Before I could open my mouth, he told me that there was a nearby pond just north-west of where he lives, and told me that I can start fishing crayfish there. So I left the house, and followed his instructions and directions to the pond.

And he was right, it was relatively near. It looked great aswell.

EDIT: I'm tired now. Exams just finished. Got on abit just to let you guys know I'm still updating this blog. I have a week of holidays ahead of me starting tomorrow. Hopefully I can get a few chapters in before it ends. :) My exams resume after the holidays.

I'm really enjoying the narrative and how you make it about the experience rather then just raw levels. Ought to make any RS player very nostalgic for back when they started. And just the relaxed pace which this takes is a nice change from the constant desire for attaining levels or GP you see elsewhere.

Keep it up =D
