Marco Posted January 19, 2006 Share Posted January 19, 2006 What a time to do this :D With Jagex now saying they have banned a huge amount of people for macroing, it seems that Jagex are taking an intrest in reports. If you were to go to World 1, it's very easy to spot someone using a programe to their advantage; programes which automatically type for them. This is of course macroing. The chances of action being taken on a report is significantly increased by having more than one person report the same offence in 60 seconds. Power in numbers :wink: Here's my proposition; a group of honest, trustworthy people go to world 1, identify a macroer (being completly sure that they are macroing, i.e: typing a fully coloured, moving sale sentance twice a second), make sure everyone in the group has identified, and all report that single peson at the same time. It will make a minute dent in the macroing population, but if we can get some high level players banned, it will be worth it. I'm talking about people's main accounts (if they're stupid enough to use it for macroing). Anyone like the 'Good, Old Fashioned Banning' idea? We are just players, not a tool of JAGEX. and ... what about if someone realy hates(or just dont like) that person and calls everyone to report him for macroing (which could be falls). that would just be abusing your power.. i dun know 'bout this cuz it's just a dangeruous subject. Not spying in any way, seeing someone selling something in a market is not spying :roll: It is completly public. we all hate rulebreakers, but it's JAGEX's job to find them. We are just players, not a tool of JAGEX. 2. Yes we are a tool, what is the report abuse button for? and ... what about if someone realy hates(or just dont like) that person and calls everyone to report him for macroing (which could be falls). that would just be abusing your power.. 3. The people in the group would not just call out a random player, either the leader of the group would call, or a player mod if one wants to join this. When an account is reported they have a system, i guess you could call it, that watches the account for further macroing, if it sees it, BANNED. Jagex doesn't deal with them.. Do you like it when you cannot sell anything in certain worlds for all the auto-typers? And I do report as I see it, I have never gone 'in search of ofenders'. Every time I sell something there whether its rune items or rares I always see people autotyping. I get pissed and report them. Imagine all other people getting angry with them for getting an advantage ofcourse they will report them too. So there you go you Reporting Trip already going on but with unsuspecting particapants. I bet at least 10-20 people in world 1 will report an macroer if they see him because they dont like him stealing a sale off them because he uses macro. My VideoScape Blog Yes it is on video. Seems like a hella good idea. but getting people to stop what they're doing in RS just to run around the world and banks to report people is relatively, hard. maybe on those people with uber awesome accounts that don't really have to do much to get far.
