January 28, 200620 yr NO!! 1. If you have some members friends, just give them the raw materials to them, so they can make it for you. When I was still f2p, I did this a few times with a friend of mine. It's a win-win situation for both of you: the member gets his/her xp and you get your bows/arrows. 2. You could also just get members and make them yourself. 3. SEARCH is your best friend!!
January 28, 200620 yr yes fletching is one thing but it's a huge thing. it's probably one of the biggest member things Maybe when members first came out. But alot more things have been added to members since then. Just fletching isnt that huge anymore. Especailly when theres a limit of what you can make by making it f2p.

I have no problem against F2P players except when they make posts about getting something for free.

January 30, 200620 yr That's what you think, but the ads make money to keep the free servers running. And probably make a profit off them, too. They make profits off the ads, not the players. Another thing, the ads pay, not the players so your still making nothing from the players which still means they deserve nothing. So many free members say they are getting ripped off, well, news flash, you don't pay for anything to deserve anything!

The P2P merchants will have a field day with it. The members would be selling thier maple logs to merchants for a killing instead of selling to the general store...its a win-win situation. Nobody loses money...except f2pers who wish to make maple logs. Make it the biggest F2p update since Runecrafting and they will shut up for a loooooong time. And if they don't, tough. If Jagex give them what they want, they'll keep asking and keep asking and get even more annoying. Don't give free players and more skills or quests, they might stop asking for them. :roll:

January 30, 200620 yr f2p will never stop wanting more... take example for ingame, you give a lvl 3 newb 10k to start him/her off. then nearly EVERY time they'l just follow you and start going "more? more!" "noob gimme!" "he scammed me! everyone report him!" and the lot you know it. same thing will obviously happen here. if f2p get fletching the next thing will be something like: we need yew bows and rune arrows! we need herblroe for range pots! we need nat, law and chaos crafting for mage levels! etc. etc. etc. dont think it wouldnt happen because it WOULD. also look at it from jagex's situation, if they changed fletching to f2p, hundreds if not thousands members will go back to f2p for good reason (one being me). with that loseing ALOT of income which we all know jagex is interested in getting. Few other successful MMORPGS even have f2p options, so be grateful. Nonmembers certainly don't make the game a better place, with all the scammers and 10 year olds who can cuss and walk around demonstrating. Even if you are worthy, go get members. January 31, 200620 yr Of course, as being currently F2P I would love to have fletching or any other P2P skill like thieving. But, I still say NO. Aren't you happy that we have been given the option to smith our own weapons and armor, craft the basic runes for free etc. It is to bad that ranging is left behind with this, but at least you can have up to maple long/short bows. If I remember correctly we F2P used to have only up to oak or willow bows. If it wasn't for that update almost no one would have used ranging. Even if Jagex SHOULD release for some stupid reason make Fletching F2P most people will still be complaining that they don't want to get fletching all the way up to level 60 to fletch there own addy arrows etc. Eventually it will only lead to chaos and destruction because they want more, more and more. Any other reason has already been said. Don't give free players and more skills or quests, they might stop asking for them. :roll: You are right, everyone will shut up then about free updates. And maybe then Jagex will release a F2P update because they haven't compained about a P2P thingy that they want. No not by making P2P skills F2P but just those thiny little updates for example crafting our own studded leather or something like that. Heck I would be happy if I can craft a coif. F2P Needs something new they are getting left in the dark. Aren't you happy that you still see some light in Runescape. Like when you go to there website and they still haven't announced that the game will goes P2P and have removed the F2P function. That satisfies my needs the most. More than a update which states that runescape is giving F2P the change to defeat the mighty Kalphite queen. \ARENAscape/Ghost killed a snaill 200 m away ... hmm but that was not a target . :P
February 1, 200620 yr status: free player. answer: NO. - members pay for those skills... - how would we get arrow heads if only fletching was available then? - arrows are pretty cheap... and you have up to adamant... i advice IRON or STEEL for cheap training, adamant for PKing(IF anyone even bothers lately to pk with range...). Known in-game as Mister evil9(lvl 93)(P2P).Modding gta2(making maps, scripts,editing it).On world 54 mostly.Made a nice GTA2 site!A little in-active...
