BXP Herblore Question

I would really like to start preparing for the next Bonus Exp Weekend. Because my skills are low and I only have about 20mil to spend (right now) I wanna get everything while its each. My goal is to get AT LEAST Extreme Attack/Strength. To make the extra money I plan to farm my face off, Collect Misc, and hopefully score some nice drops this week.

 

So 3 Questions.

1. How much will this cost me on BXP weekend (assuming its the same as always and i am totally prepared)

1b. Other that farm/misc what else should I be doing to make cash

2. What would be the best potion to make?

3. Any other preparations I should make before BXP?

1. No idea.

1b. work on hunter for herblore habitat so that you can make more money farming herbs.. it makes a big difference.

2. Herblore costs

3. collect phoenix feathers to make super antifires.. once you hit the level to make these (either with or without stewing), make enough so that you won't run out anytime soon.

Is there a way to get the herbs without 70 farming? If not can the making of the potion, or the planting/harvesting be assisted?

I think that only the construction can be assisted. You are pretty close to 67 farm (pie to 70).. you can get it in a few days easy.

I got all my herbs from Kingdom, Farming and Slayer. It's hard to say how much of each type of pot you should make to get up to extremes. You'd need to work out how many pots you make per hour, and figure out the extra experience you'd get per pot from the BXP multiplier. That's a lot of math. What I did was, as I stockpiled, I periodically used a calc to tally up how much XP I had banked, then multiplied by 1.67. That gave me a rough ballpark of what I could expect for XP on the BXP weekend. In actuality, I ended up with way more than my estimate for the same money and preparation.

 

It couldn't hurt to get a Scroll of Cleansing, if you're into dungeoneering. It helps you make extra unf pots as well as saving secondaries. It will help you eke a few more pots out of your supplies, which means more XP for you.

 

And speaking of making unfs, make sure all your herbs are in vials prior to the start of the weekend. Unless you have the armor from the new rogues den (and we don't know if that will work on BXP weekend yet.) you don't get XP from making unf pots so you won't want to waste time. This also goes for secondaries you can't buy, like phoenix feathers. And make sure all your mud runes, or unicorn horns, etc., are ground up beforehand too.

 

Try not to blow your entire bank on it. Save yourself a little reserve cash, so that in case you get very close to your goal, or past your goal but close to another milestone, you can purchase last minute supplies. My experience on the last BXP weekend was that people were prepared so far in advance that there was no real panic for supplies. There were plenty of people unloading their stockpiles, selling off finished potions, etc., to keep prices reasonable.

Sorry to hijack your thread but has another BXP been confirmed?

 

If you want a steady moneymaker try doing green drags with herb runs every 1.5h, earns you atleast 2-3m/day normally

Herblore is kind of expensive atm but maybe make super energy potions to 84 then recov specs to 88 then ext att to 89.

 

If you plan on going beyond ext str to 99, I'd recommend making 1000overloads, as they're very very handy. Basically for the untradable potions I'd make them based on use rather than cost.

 

I have 15k ext attacks that I haven't touched. I made 1000 overloads and used about 300 so far, so if I could go back in time Id set up my ext att/str/def/magic/range in equal amounts.

 

However tradable potions don't matter much as you can sell them back in the ge.

 

500 super antifires will be more than enough for 99slayer so I wouldn't recommend making a whole bunch of those. Recov specs are great on slayer tasks for additional claw specs. I made around 7k but really probably need about 2k if that.

 

ohye and get teh scroll of cleansing from dungeoneering, easily saved me around 15m in supplies.

Just expected I suppose now. Missed the last one because I was in america, Hoping to capitalise with this one and do 15k Mahog planks.
