Anonymous
Is it possible to get firemaking down to level 1 (deboosting) while maintaining your woodcutting level? If so, what'd be the easiest sat? I want to 1-click drop arctic pine more easily as they often burn instantly as I'm 99 fm. Thanks :)
Ambler
Afaik, reducing your fm level still lets you burn logs? It's the sort of skill where that would happen. It's easy enough to set up mousekeys to drop logs with a few button presses.Edit:Oh, you mean so you don't instantly burn them? I think if you click back to the tree fast enough, or on another log, it will just drop it... ^^My blog of EoC PvM, lols and Therapy.^^My livestream- Currently: Offline :(Offical Harpy Therapist of the Mad[hide=Lewtations]Barrows drops: Dharok's helm x2, Guthan's helm, Ahrim's top, Hood and skirt, Torag's hammers, Karils skirt, Karil's top, Torag's helm, Verac's skirt, Verac's Flail, Dharok's Platebody.Dag kings drops: Lost count! :wall:4k+ Glacors, 7 Ragefires, 4 Steadfasts, 4 Glaivens, 400+ shards![/hide]
hatebringer
I don't really think it's possible to de boost just fm, and not all skills especially down to 1, I believe what you want to do is be able to just click light for all of them quickly so before one lights the next will be dropped overriding the burn function of the first, thus making dropping a single click? 99 Fletching 99 Attack 99 Constitution 99 Cooking 99 StrengthGamertag: H8tebringer
Anonymous
As I mentioned, I'm 99 firemaking. Sometimes, I instantly burn them which is extremely annoying.
JPMC Mate
Hmm, if it is allowed, you could go to the GWD or Ice Troll area and have the weather deboost fm and cook there. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.
TC3
Afaik, the only way this would work is how Fire mentioned. The problem then is that you would have to restore your woodcutting back up and then remember to reset your negative FM boost every hour or so which would get annoying. You would also need to drink a LOT of axemans follys to get ur wc back to normal without restoring your fm, in this time your fm would also reset a few levels. That's the only thing I can think of tbh, sorry that it isn't very practical.
Hedgehog
It takes like 2 or 3 ticks for the log to burn. Try clicking faster :P
Saradomin_Mage
You're talking about dropping Arctic Pines with the left-click Light option, right? To do this, you need to count your woodcutting ticks. Woodcutting ticks occur every 4 ticks (2.4s~), so each time you receive a log from the tree, you can count that as tick 1. In between tick 1 and tick 4, you're free to left-click light as many logs from your inventory as you can manage. However, on tick 4, because of server lag, you must re-click the Arctic Pine in order to put your character back into the woodcutting cycle. Because the cycles for woodcutting and firemaking overlap (both require 4 ticks), if you are in the process of lighting logs and 4 ticks from your last woodcutting tick elapse, you character will set that specific log alight. Maybe it'd be easier to comprehend if I added some sort of schematic: Tick 1 : Your character has already been cutting the Arctic Pine. At this tick, your woodcutting tick kicks in, so you receive a log on a successful roll against the tree.Tick 2 : You decide to left-click light a log. You click it on this tick. If you're fast, you might have clicked more than one of them this tick.Tick 3 : Because of the server's innate lag, you character now switches to firemaking ticks, which count as being in progress since tick 1. Any logs you left-clicked in tick 2 now are placed on the floor. You might continue left-clicking logs at this point to keep dropping stuff.Tick 4 : Any logs you left-clicked in tick 3 are placed on the floor. You need to use this tick to click on the Arctic Pine to get back into the woodcutting ticks.Tick 5 : Your character returns to the woodcutting ticks, and because 4 ticks have elapsed since your last woodcutting tick, you receive a log on a successful roll against the tree. And so on. Note that if you time yourself well, you can start dropping logs on tick 1 with left-click light. If you need to familiarise yourself with ticks, you can drain your run energy to 0, then rest (either normally or at a musician). Every increase in your run energy at this point will denote the occurrence of a tick. It's extremely helpful to do this because being able to count ticks lets you do many more things in this game, such as prayer switching etc. And thanks for the tip. I forgot that Arctic pine logs are left-click light, so I might switched over from my freshly ruined teaks :P In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers. Lord Paul
Wow! Very great, and informative post. :thumbup:I think I should head on over to arctic pines as you answered the OP's question, which apparently applies to me as well. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475
