Munch
1. Are there any logs I can one click with the implementation of the tool-belt? Eucalyptus/Arctic Pine. (ANSWERED)2. What would be the best way for me to go for the firecape without prayer flashing/switching? A while back I heard something about Ganodermic...3. Snapdragon, is it still the best herb to farm? (No Torstol.) (ANSWERED) Does anyone have a equipment and inventory setup for Jad? I collect Acorns, Apple Tree, Banana Tree, and Orange Tree Seeds. Also any seeds you would like to donate to my seed collection.
Saradomin_Mage
1. Eucalyptus or Arctic Pine.2. Ganodermic armour has such high magic defences and soak that you can easily tank all of Jad's magic attacks and sit out the whole fight with just range prayer on. This is probably your best bet for killing Jad without prayer switching, besides other options like Nex armour.3. I believe so. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
Munch
Do you have any idea of a setup for Jad? I collect Acorns, Apple Tree, Banana Tree, and Orange Tree Seeds. Also any seeds you would like to donate to my seed collection.
Lord Paul
Snapdragon is the best (after torstol ofc) if you have juju and scroll of life. (it's the same profit as ranarr, but triple the experience)Take a look at this if you want to compare profit and xp with/without juju/scroll of life. Just make a copy of it and change the green cells. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475
Munch
Okay, thanks Paul. Does anyone have a good setup (using Ganodermic), for Jad? I collect Acorns, Apple Tree, Banana Tree, and Orange Tree Seeds. Also any seeds you would like to donate to my seed collection.
Lord Paul
Not too sure, but I think this is a starting idea at least: 3 or 4 prayer renewalsVecna skull2 magic potions~6 brews1 normal restore for when you are brewing like mad (it restores more of your stats than a super restore.. but no prayer points)the rest in super restores You could bring blood spell runes if you wanted to. Also, you could bring vengeance runes for jad if you get 88 mage. Though really, neither should be necessary. Aten
If you're on task... Full slayer helm (replace with ganodermic visor if you're not on task)Ganodermic PonchoGanodermic LeggingsPolypore staffArcane Stream Necklace > Amulet of FuryGod Wars Cape > Soul Wars CapeArcane Spirit Shield > Mages' Book > UnholyRagefire Boots > Infinity BootsBarrows GlovesSeers (i) > Seers Since you don't have Soul Split, bring EE if you have it. If not, bring blood barrage runes instead and make sure you're on Ancients. Vecna skull3 Mage potions6 Saradomin Brews2 Super Restores3 Prayer Renewals Fill the rest of your remaining inventory with prayer potions. Drink a prayer renewal every time you get the message that it has run out. Honestly, with EE and blood barrage, you shouldn't really need to brew. When you see 90s and 360s, make sure you prioritize killing the level 90s. They may not appear to be very powerful, but their range attack is extremely accurate and given ganodermic's low range defence, you would do well to dispose of them quickly. The alternative is to use walls to lure and separate the level 90s from the 360, and pray ranged (though since 90s have such low hp, this might not be worth your time). Dachef
sorry to hijack this (old) topic, but are you guys sure, that ganodermic's def is high enough to resist jad's attacks?bc im currently doing it with visor, poncho and leggins (fury, barrow gloves, sw cape, unholy book and nooby boots) and even the 360s seem to be hitting pretty damn hard on me..!? :-shas anybody ever actually tried it or is it just the theory, that it SHOULD work? thx =)
Deletion
It's been proven to work. You should be praying mage against the 360's anyway. With Ganodermic Jad maxes at around 570 (iirc?) due to the soaking so you can out heal his attacks and he will have low accuracy due to the mage defense. Dachef
hrmpf... 2x 570 would still beat the hell outa me.. :-/ well i guess ill just give it a go. at wave 62 now =) thx anyway..
Deletion
You can brew out of it, his attacks are very slow.
Dachef
he ko'd me.. no 570s tho, so i guess im lucky.. but finally ran out of brews (started with 6 i think, had 5 left as i got to jad, as i forgot to pray on 1 360 ^^).. got him down to the healers tho, had em distracted on me.. so im now taking blood barrages, think should work well now =) thx for the inputs and apologize for using your post, Munch. but maybe you like my insider info that it actually can work quite well ;)
Platinum_Myr
I like the idea of jad without prayer swapping.... :) i will have to try this. Maxed since Sunday, January 9th, 2014Completionist since Wednesday, June 4th, 2014
Dachef
i tired it with brews.. got ko'd 3 times in a row. if you're lucky and he hits mainly range attacks (which you will be praying) it is going to be very easy. as soon as he hits 3 magic attacks in a row and you don't pray switch you're pretty much screwed (if you dont have any other healing methods, which would heal more than sara brews).. beside that it works fine. the way to jad is terribly easy with the above mentioned method =)
Cow
I died last time because of the healers. Depending on setup, it may be worth bringing a few ice barrages or something to freeze the healers with.I got this spawn: me ROCK jad and the healers came from all sides If I had the foresight for a freeze weapon, I would have frozen them on the north side of the rock, so they can't do anything but don't respawn frozen healers me (run around rock after they're frozen) ROCKROCKR jad I'll get a new placeholder cape eventually though. Person who said go after the 90s very quickly is right, they're very accurate (I had like +18 range defence) Oh, and dreadnips help a ton.
