Jehosaphat Posted March 19, 2011 Share Posted March 19, 2011 To be honest, you wouldn't be successful with that drawing style, you need to sharpen it up a little, get rid of the grainy, bold lines and not soften the shading. Also, those eyes are way too big. I say the art's fairly good at the moment, but it needs a little bit of improvement. With a little practice you could probably get to Parallel Dementia levels, which aren't particularly impressive but convey the atmosphere of the story very well. I think that the faces need a bit of work, mainly the mouths, because I can't usually tell if they are smilling or frowning or whatnot. Other than that, if you think that you can portray all of the scenes with flair and emotion, then you are ready. :) Alright, I'll take that as "improve moar." And now I know what to improve on, thanks guys. Mather - I'm not sure what "not soften the shading" means - explain that a bit more? Also, any tips on making the lines bolder without just running over all of 'em with a paintbrush/pencil tool?Nex - Moar practice. Got it.Tech - Okay, more expressive faces.
