I am in two minds about quiting Space and running a new Hegemony.

 

On the one hand there is nothing wrong with Space, and the extended break might have done some good.

On the other, got Kingmaker, Nex and Iey's new games...Can't expect people to wait around forever.

 

 

Really down to Nex, Wyvern, Ross, Earth and Retech....Since they seem to be the main peoples.

Everybody is either running: Games I don't understand, Games that there is no point joining as everyone is a higher level then me :(

Yup, two games that are turn up and be yourself. If only it was simpler somehow.

It's true that Kingmaker has some decently complicated rules, but it's really something that can be learned once, and then it becomes simple. After you get down the basic rules for HP, AC, and actions, then there isn't really much more than finding the character stuff that fits your playing style.

Ok, I'm very interested in playing kingmaker but get stuck at character creation, can you give me a guide about how to start off?

Use the character creator, and go to the SRD to check out some classes. There isn't really a guide, I suggest you think of what sort of character you want and ask for suggestions on the thread.

What would be the best class for a beginner who is basically interested in smashing things up and travelling quickly?

Well, a fighter is more specialized to smashing things up and is a decent quick traveler while a ranger is more versatile, but still good at smashing things up.

 

Or if you prefer a super-heavy tank class, a paladin or calvalier is also good. It has some alignment issues though.

Some sort of fire mage...or a barbarian with an Axe.

 

Blow stuff up and teleport or smash stuff up and run fast.

It might take a while to get to a stage where we can teleport easily though, so barbarian would be the better option.

Am I allowed to come up with a class and race if they're reasonable?

Tensors flying disk(Or whatever it is called in this version) would work just as well, and that is level 1 or 2?

From the name, it doesn't seem to be teleportation, and the effect could probaly be accomplished with a horse. :P

Probably, but horse can get killed, is hard to use in a cave and needs to rest alot.

Also, 1 drop of mercury per hour, if you aren't running(aka sleeping) is probably considerably cheaper than keeping a horse alive for 24 hours a day.

I mean you could just buy a flask at the beginning of the game and be set for the rest of it.

What do you have in mind? I would have to look through any homebrew races you come up with (simply for balance reasons) though. Honestly I would prefer if you just used a race from either the players guide or the beastiaries though.

I'm not intruding, just trying to help. I've removed the lines, added despeckle and made the smile a bit bolder. If I were you I'd completely redraw it on the computer, tracing the original image so it will look cleaner and bolder.

Thanks, but I actually have the lines, coloring and details all in separate layers in GIMP, so I can erase the lines without causing a bit of color-smudging. And color-smudging gets on my nerves. A lot.

Edit: Danget, GIMP.... How dare you not save the layers and just save the whole thing as background. Oh well, I guess I'll scrap that picture - getting rid of the lines from the paper without messing things up would be annoyingly difficult. Time to work on the Jen picture!
