Yeah, people keep coming up with the tech tree idea.

Ultimately people find it annoying or spam it.

Example:

Napoleonic Hegemony, where Retech spammed all the techs anyone came up with.

 

And Tech Trees that cover Hegemony would need to be VAST, I mean you would need to play 5 full games of Hegemony to get a tech tree that even vaguely resembled a completed one.

Try not to put quite so much effort into it then (that and we only get a budget every 7 days which helps a fair bit). You could use my system which is using a PM to the mod to keep all relevant data or something along those lines. I think mather makes a spread sheet and I'm not sure what the others do. In any rate it's not too late to join now.

Space is a relatively new game created by a forum called the Tavern, on the Tip.it's forums. Based off of two other popular games made by the same people, Hegemony and Dungeoneering being the games, this took a decidedly fresh turn from the original 'Medival hack and fireball' or 'Country running from HELL' types of things that the other games managed to create. It's timeline was founded shortly (In-game, at least) after the end of the Second Hegemony game after an worldwide Anthrax carpet bomb officially murdered all hope of continuing said game. The basis was, a team of specialized men and women in the fields of Engineering, being able to build things and knowing how to repair things, Tactical Officer, the knowledge on how to effectively shoot things in the face, Medic, the time-honoured choice of people who want to sew ragged plasma burns up with a rusty needle, and Scientist, the technobabble kings. Starting from Terra, the crew consisted of: The AI, a semi-sedistic, inifinitely patient overseer (See also, GM.) Nero, a Tactical Officer who ended up getting cpataincy.. And nearly blowing up the Unity, the ship in question, several times. Jeremiah, the second in command and an Engineer, became an AI robot later on into the game.

This is what I have so-far for the editing. Thoughts?

Nope. It doesn't matter what limits I put on, I will end up having it eat my life somehow unless I just don't play.

 

And Earth, I.... don't really know what a TvTropes page is supposed to look like (as opposed to what many of them look like...), so I can't say. XD

Well you were missing a minor character Dmitri a russian engineer who's M.O. was to set any hostiles on fire with a fusion cutter (mind you this is basically a space age blowtorch). As well as a fair bit of the other members of the crew.

Could make a character sheet for going indepth into who's actually in the crew and details about them. The opening bit should probably just have the basic premise and plot. Specifics go in the trope listing under it.

Well, for one, I would put the different class types as bullets, instead of making a wall-o'-text. Also, the stuff about Nero, Jeremiah, Jen, etc. could probably go under a Characters subsection or something. The main TvTropes article is mainly suppsoed to be about the game, the plot of the game, and the main tropes implemented. Characters, background info, and other such stuff come later and/or go on a different page.

Unity discovers the brown pills are drugs if burned and are being used OFF-LABEL AS WEAPONS!

Came up with an idea to easily make the afro look like hair, looks to me like it worked:

EDIT: Looked better in paint.NET and when I uploaded it, at this size you can see the colours and I think I madde it too intense. But I think if you fiddle with the values you can get it to look just right.

I can understand how it be annoying. It ruins the sense of freedom that people get when they research there own technologys, fortunately the tech tree will simply act as a guideline. You will research things like electricity, machinery or gunpowder and then it is up to you what you do with it.

 

Machinery completed' date=' please choose to research.

 

10 yrs Electricity - leads to xyz

15 Automobiles - leads to xyz

15 Flight - Leads to space travel, xyz [/quote']

 

And then the person replies:

 

Uhm..... Flight?

 

And then they're free from the tech tree for another fifteen years. Research only covers a few brief things (maybe 15) and then everything else must be researched the normal way.
