Hah, it's actually interesting because I wanted to play a mermaid that road around in a chariot in a game on the Paizo forums as part of an aquatic campaign.

He's a hero of the people sort of guy.

Anime-style characters are usually well represented by magic-melee characters (gishes), but from quickly scanning the wikipedia article, Kamina doesn't seem to have special abilities? Psionics are pretty balanced (although 3rd party, it is pretty well accepted) on the PFSRD, and it seems that a Wilder or Psychic Warrior is right up your alley.

 

But the mech could be represented by the golems that you can wear as armor, if Grim would let you convert that over from 3.5. It's far out of the price range for low level characters though.

Can you handle most of the cleric responsibility? I will probably end up playing a mystic theurge, with the divine side being a cleric.

 

I hope we're starting at around level 4 or 5 though, since Theurges are generally useless before then. :P

Well, I want to be able to knock around enemies with my starknives, but Clerics aren't exactly optimal for that and I can't play a Paladin because I'm Chaotic Good. Does anyone know how to make melee/thrown weapons not completely suck, and the best way to boost the mileage on a 1d4 Light weapon?

I'd say a bard really because let's face it, he was kind of bad at fighting in comparison to the rest of the cast. But he was amazing at generating morale and spiral power.

I don't really know what I'm doing for mechanics yet. I've been working on how the character as a character will work.

 

I know that I'll be a devotee of Desna, and found a shrine to her. I know that I'll be using starknives. My preference is a religiously-oriented class, though I wouldn't be adverse to a bard or perhaps even a ranger. I'll be going into the Spherewalker prestige class at the earliest possible opportunity.

Well, I have a couple of ideas off the top of my head.

 

 

1. Synthesist Summoner. Basically your Eidolon fuses with you and let's you do a lot of cool things. Give it pounce and four arms. Each arm holds a starknife. While it sounds kinda cheesy, it's not actually overpowered, although you'd have to talk with Grim about certain aspects of the summoner that are "GM decides". Although, I'm not exactly sure how your character works, so this might not exactly fit the fluff you're looking for.

 

Ranger and Rogue are also good choices for the kind of thing you're talking about. Or, if Grim allows Ultimate Combat Playtest material, there is the new ninja class.

Anyways, I've realized how silly this cleric of Desna business is, I just remembered that the whole reason I went looking for a deity was to find a good patron for my Varisian Scarf-dancer character. Well, back to that. I'm already finding fancy new stuff to use...

 

I'm hoping we start at level 5, so I can have a level in Bard as well as the Fighter levels necessary to make good use of my Bladed Scarf.

Only when they say fast words, don't know why that would matter but at least VLC counteracts it at all other times. The good thing about watching it at double speed is that you get rid of the "oh get to the point" thought you keep throughout most of the episodes. Also 4x speed at the Team Rocket motto actually manages to make it entertaining.

I have to try that sometime. I finally found a decent quality non Japaneese download of the first season, after 5 tries that were all awful and unwatchable. Plus this one had the banned episodes included.

 

Also got a Gameboy emulator, so I can finally play Crystal again after my friend 'borrowed' and lost it.

I once watched 3/4 of a show in Japanese with English subtitles. Four episodes on one VHS tape were actually in English. I can't remember the name of the show completely, but it was pretty good for a shojo. Something about Escaflowne (I can't remember how it's spelt, bear with me). I have seen a few episodes of Naruto, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura (I finished the whole manga, both series), one episode of Dragon Drive, and Yugioh in Japanese. I am that awesome (no I'm not, just incredibly weird). I still need to watch xxxHOLiC and Tsubasa and Witchblade (iey, awesome show btw).

I've watched Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star, one or two hundred episodes of Naruto (in my younger days), maybe a quarter of Hellsing, something like seventy or eighty episodes of Bleach, a little past the first season of Gundam 00, one or two episodes each of Highschool of the Dead, Pita-ten, and some other one I can't remember (the first is disgustingly fanservice-y, the second is overly cutesy and odd, the third was some weird magic academy crap). I'm currently watching TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN WHICH YOU MUST ALSO WATCH IMMEDIATELY. It's pure awesome in a can.
