On a different note, anyone have anything they want me to draw? I'm bored since HnH is acting up.

And I'm asking for reasonable requests, no infinite dimension stuff like what Archi said. Also, it'll only be a sketch until I figure out which art program hates me the least and figure out how to use it.

I'm a weird kid. I get to go to college (like an actual college) when I should technically still be in early high-school. Most of my fellow students think I'm a good 2-4 years older than I actually am.

On a different note, artist's block arrrgh <_<

You're a prodigy?

Depends on how you define 'prodigy.' I was able to take Spanish I at a local community college when I was in 8th grade, and I had multiple opportunities to take college classes throughout my high school years.

Then theoretically I will be going to Cornell University (handy at having an ivy league university only five minutes from your house) to take some multivariable calculus and linear algebra stuff.

Interesting. How much are the classes going to cost you?

Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.

*cracks knuckles* I was a Rollercoaster Tycoon freak when I was a kid. Of course, I spent most of my time dumping people in water and laughing as they drowned, but STILL.

We should have a Zoo Tycoon competition with the dinosaur expansion to see who can have a T-Rex eat the most people.

I built theme parks with the maximum number of tiles possible and the maximum loan possible. I had to rig up my mouse and keyboard because the clicking hurt my wrists (took a while to get it to say $6 million or whatever for the loan). My park instantly went into debt every time, but it also generated a lot of people coming in.

I had a lot of fun drowning people and making them vomit. I'd usually kill off all the depressed-looking people.

Also, making islands and putting people inside 'prisons' was funny as well. Every person that tried to leave was automatically grabbed and tossed into the prison. Then, I would execute them. ^_^

You can place a no entrance sign in front of the entrance facing into the park, that way they'll turn around when they try to leave.

That's not as fun as killing them or throwing them into jail.

I would purposefully make a series of rollercoasters designed to launch cartfuls of people into a lake, then dump my janitors in the lake with them.

In other parks, I would OCD-kill anyone who littered or even thought about vomiting in my park.

Fun times.... fun times.... brb finding my RCT disk

Edit: Nevermind, I found my old disk of Oregon Trail instead. Time to play the "EVERYBODY GOT MALARIA LOLS" game!

a70c7.png

I'm half-tempted to find my old RCT disc and design a theme park based on Sodom from HnH.

Either that or a concentration camp.

So apparently Windows 7 doesn't like Oregon Trail.

I ain't even mad.

a70c7.png

I am not sure which RTC game I had, I remember I kept intentionally designing the rollercoaster that went up and down the same bit of track, too short.

It was a pain, since you had to make small changes every time the cart went off the rails otherwise people were too scared to go back on it.

Also remember when I built a park which went: Ride, walled off area with food, drink and toilets, ride, walled off area with food, drink and toilets...and just carried on with that kind of a park, ended up netting so much money, since you couldn't leave without going through the rides (Mwhahahahaha!)...though people sometimes ran out of money half way round, so I needed lots of cleaners and security.

Also, in later games I began getting more Dungeon Masterish, so had a Ride Maze, so you could choose to go on one of four rides(less in the corners and edges) which would advance you through the maze....Unsuprisingly they did not respond well to my meta-ride, since there was no logical pattern to it (I was 10-14, I still though the computer was capable of thought...though most people seem to think that computers can do that so its not neccessarily a young thing), so most people got to an area with no money or no rides they liked =(

Also remember in one game of Themepark World I designed the most awesome themepark ever, and sold it for 13.4 billion Dollars...In a game where the best rides cost $40,000...

But then I screwed up, brought an area in the antarctic, thinking of building a snow park, but it was exactly the same as everywhere else... <_< So got 5 people a year, despite having spent 2 million on rides, and had hundreds of staff patrolling the park.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

I have RC3 and two expansion packs.

Archi, you should've added ATMs.

Christ Archi, you're an evil person.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Grim, it seems strange that AP chem is the hardest in your school. In our school, we have AP Calc (second hardest) and AP Physics C (hardest because it's physics and you have to use calc in it).

As for special needs, it's usually in the regular classes as well, but I am not quite sure, since I don't take any of those classes. (It was the fastest guidance counselor appointment ever. What do I want? Put me down for the next honors classes.)

Luckily, I talked with my guidance counselors, so instead of taking a mere Algebra 2 next year, I am skipping two grade levels up to AP Calc (so that's triple acceleration). Then theoretically I will be going to Cornell University (handy at having an ivy league university only five minutes from your house) to take some multivariable calculus and linear algebra stuff. Probaly lots of work, but plenty of nerd credit for that. I'm not going to wimp out and take AP stats into college, because I heard from my 11th grade friend (who's mom is a statistician) that the AP stats program at US high schools aren't worth taking. Hopefully in senior year, I will be capable of taking the big workload required to smash my friends academically (which is a pretty good motivation to working hard).

How are you doing that Theros? Are you actually going to college for all of your classes or just taking some college classes at a college in high school?

Can you help me with parabolas then? I'm terrible at geometry. Specifically problems like 'You have 40m of fencing to build a garden, with one wall as a building. Then you have to graph it, and I get all confused.

The closest thing my school has to AP is honours, where you take Grade 10 and 11 in Grade 10, Grade 12 in Grade 11 and Uni in Grade 12. I'm taking it for Chem and Math, repping a 95 in chem and fluctuating between 75 and 85 in math. I find we go way to fast for me to absorb the concept. I do the test, get a 75, go over it with the teacher and realize I could have gotten a 95 if I understood the concept when I wrote it.

No, sorry, RC2, I'm not entirely sure how I missed that, seeing how the box is within sight.

Thankfully, only a few hundred, because my mom works at Cornell. Staff member discount, yippee.

The question is "You have 40m of fencing to make a garden on the side of your house, with one of the sides being the wall of your house. What is the largest area the garden could be, and what would the dimensions be?" Somehow you're supposed to solve it using a quadratic equation.

Thanks for helping, I have a test on this on Tuesday and I won't have time to talk to my teacher about it before then.

I don't even see how it results in a quadratic, which is rather strange.

I will try to figure it out by this evening though.

Hmm... I could solve this with calc, but I've forgotten how to do it with basic geometry.

I can get you a start though. You start with 2 formulas, perimeter and area. The perimeter formula gets messed with a bit because you have 1 wall that you're not using fencing for, so you ignore that wall in the equation.

So P=2*side1 + side2 = 40m of fencing. so 2*S1 + S2 = 40.

Then area, which is s1*s2 assuming you're making a rectangle.

A=S1*S2

And you're trying to maximize area. Now, I would normally do this with substitution then deriving and setting A' to 0, but I know there's some devious way you're supposed to do it with algebra.
