Double checking setup for Jad

Just wondering if this is a good setup for jad?

So I just pray mage for 360s, try to trap the 180, and just kill 90s

As for jad, just normal prayer switching (but from what I heard is that the mage attack from jad in this gear doesn't really hit that much, confirm?)

Thank you.

Looks good! With gano and eagle eye kite, you can get away with praying range against Jad, and healing up against his mage.

Tempted to make a general advice thread for fire caper.

AFAIK against the Jad in full Gano you just pray range and tank the magic attack healing as needed, also some runes for blood burst or barrage might be worthwhile to heal up without using brews.

Jad's mage attack won't hit hard because of the magic absorb.. It's pretty easy to just pray range the entire fight.

Why don't you have your ovl in a flask?

Edit at above: It's still better to switch prayers since you won't need to brew as much, and therefore will hit harder. Gano is just nice if you mess up with prayer switching or lag too much to reliably do it.

Working on max and completionist capes.

You have too many renewals and not enough overloads. Bring 8 doses of overload and renewal each. You don't need Vecna's with overload either. If you can, get a mage's book or arcane spirit shield.

The only reason I have one overload is because I just wanted to overload just for jad. For everything else, I was just gonna use the skull for the bonus.

I will end prayer switching but I not really that good at (since the last few attempts); I'll get rid of one prayer renewal and add another brew or so.

So for the jad fight, do I still need to worry about the healers that come in at half health?

Yes, you must attack the healers and lure them away from Jad, kill 1-2 if you have to but not the last. And I *highly* recommend overloading the entire caves, much faster, more relaxed, more fun too.

Alright will do. So how many overloads should I bring along with me for the entire caves?

Flasks are a waste if you ask me.

I just did caves using polypore staff & void mage bringing 4 brews, 3 ovls, 3 renewals and the rest super ppots.

When I finished the caves I drank 1 brew (because the healers hit me a little since I was in low defence), but had plenty of prayer pots left over.

You have way too much prayer/restores. And not enough ovls. Forget the skull and just ovl the entire caves. 12 doses of ovl's is easily enough for the full caves.

I personally don't only pray range on jad. You end up wasting time brewing the lost health when you could just very easily flick between mage and range prayers and outhit the healers. And combos of 600's killing you is very much a possibility. Pray only range if you have a hard time flicking.

I'd personally bring only 10 super restore flasks, no pray pots, and more brews. It's very unlikely you'll need more brews than you already have, but it's literally impossible you'll need more than 60 super restore doses in a fight cave run with +22 prayer. And there aren't many alternative items to bring that would help. (Veng runes can be useful for extra damage, but they're really just a novelty unless you're meleeing.)
