I have the elite top from a void stares back, and I just got 250 points from pest control. I think I need to get the void Knight robes, and then get another 100 to upgrade those to elite, and then I need to work on getting the gloves... Is that correct? Once I have this void set, when do I use void instead of barrows?

You'll need the top, bottom, gloves, and helm to receive the bonuses (assuming you're not using a deflector.) And there is an additional cost to upgrade the top and bottom (100pts ea) from regular to elite. Once I have this void set, when do I use void instead of barrows? You can use it right now, and it would be less of a hassle. In fact I recommend it based on the damage output calculated by AHappySeeker.

March 12, 201214 yr No, you'll want to use slayer helm for melee slayer. Not quite sure if you are ranging some tasks, might be better for a few. The actual armor itself is useful for tasks where you need some mage def, since the prayer bonus on elite is nice. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475

You don't use void while on slayer tasks and you'd want to use gano/ahrims on slayer tasks with full slayer helm. ok, I got the void gloves, do I need or can I make those "elite"? If you're getting void for Glacors, you'll want both the melee and mage helms. But again, you shouldn't be using void for slayer/glacors.
March 12, 201214 yr It's important to remember that range void gear is better than a fsh on most tasks, excluding high defense ones such as metal dragons. But it is true that melee and mage void are never better.
March 12, 201214 yr Author I am looking to use this for Glacor's yes, I saw the guide and it says you need this void armor, so that is why I have been getting it. I now have elite top and robe and gloves....
March 12, 201214 yr For glacors, it's not required but a very good option, especially if you do not have a celestial surgebox or chaotic rapier (which I think you don't).
