Well I for one am NOT looking forward to it. Like all other dragon items, I infer that they will, like always, make it some rare monster drop and blow things way out of proportion. Let's just take a look at the current dragon items, and their hiarchy on the smithing table if they were smithable, along with their prices. Notice how despite their hiarchy on the smithing table (and in the general store, too, mind you) their prices all over the place.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dragon Dagger - 30k

 

 

 

Dragon Axe - 3 mil

 

 

 

Dragon Mace - 50k

 

 

 

Dragon Medium Helmet - 900k

 

 

 

Dragon Scimitar - 110k

 

 

 

Dragon Long Sword - 100k

 

 

 

Dragon Square Shield - 3.1 mil

 

 

 

Dragon Battle Axe - 200k

 

 

 

Dragon Chainbody - 23 mil

By making some of the items monster drops, and some of them not, some of the itmes you would think should be cheaper than others are actually massively more expensive. It stands to reason that since the dragon pickaxe and the D2H have been overly hyped by noobs that want one, Jagex will make it a monster drop from some level 500+ monster to make it look cool and only level 120+s will have it and all of the noobies will complain. :roll:

rofl i was just about to post a topic about this. But i doubt it will let you get coal in one hit because drag woodcutting axe didnt really help with say the woodcutting equivelent of coal, yews.

actually its just showing the prayer skill (monk) next to the firemaking skill (campfire).

Rofl! you notice the pickaxe but not the 2hander that knight is wielding?

lets hope that the d pick is able to be purchased at a store, maybe legeds or a new quest to get it, and lets hope its faster than rune.

hmmm I think there may be more to this than just a D2h and pick. Look at the barrel full of fish. New fish container maybe? also there are some cooking pots which could indicate a new way to cook. Also I dont think the target means anything, possibly a new way of training Ranged and the tree could be anything WC maybe a quest.

also I doubt that is the proper version of the pick, look at the ore, it looks like its been rushed in all of a sudden. They probs added all of this just to tease us

I am hoping for a very good spec on the 2Her :D Back in RSC r2H was exclusively used except for people who were members. So maybe JaGex could give it its former glory by requiring something outrageous (E.G. 99 Smithing in RSC PLX?) and giving it an excellent special, and maybe a good speed. :)

If they made it faster and more powerfull that would throw the ballance off, they have to keep it to a ballance. It has to be equall to other d weapons, it cant be the obvious choice in a d weapon, all others would plumit in price.

No way. D Scimmy is obvious choice for training. Whip is obvious choice for pking and stuff. Why not make D2H good for KO'ing?

you know its going to be just like how the d hatchets were most likely. Totally worthless.
