I'd like to remind people of the rules pertaining to Times threads:

Rampant flame wars have taken control of virtually every week's times discussion topics. The following guidelines must be followed when posting on this topic. Posts that ignore these guidelines will be removed.

 

1. You are invited and welcome to express like or dislike on articles and a particular author's writing style. It is not acceptable, however, to flame or personally insult an author. Posts that aren't anything but an attack will be removed from the topic.

 

2. Spelling and grammar errors can be reported to tripsis by PMing her and they will be fixed promptly. It is not necessary to post them on the discussion topic.

 

3. Off topic posts that do not discuss the content of that week's articles will be removed. This is not the place to discuss the direction of the times, how much you love or hate the times, etc. Off topic posts will be removed.

 

By keeping within these guidelines, Times discussion topics will mean more for the Panel and Administration than just a place for flame wars. Flame wars do not provide any useful feedback to the Times, which is mainly what we're aiming for with these topics: feedback.

No offence to the authors of this weeks articles; they were all written quite well. The topics covered however, I thought were rather dull.

 

On the plus side, it's nice to read times articles that aren't attempting to endlessly 'critique' SoF.

Towards the first article indeed it is good to be optimistic. To be honest I don't particularly mind a lack of updates to RS I also feel quite positive about the way they are going with updates atm (bar SoF) as they seem to be concentrating on improving the current content rather than introducing new sub par content. Interesting articles all together though I didn't read the third one - I was reminded though that I should really re-read 1984 I last read it when I was 13 and probably without realising didn't 'get' quite a lot of it.

Revamping Non-Combat skills: Great article! It's a wonder they didn't implement multi-skill stuff much before. There are the few exceptions like fishing sharks barehanded and whatnot, but the agility into combat, and the whole idea in general are quite intriguing.

 

DYK: That's interesting. Makes sense though. Why shouldn't you be able to eat burnt stuff?

First off u cant eat it anyway because your character says they wont eat it. 3rd article was the best article because it brought a new interesting idea. I would love that have Jagex have this idea into the game somehow.

Although it'd be kind of related to SoF, I'm tempted to submit an article discussing disposable time versus disposable income to players. That's not treading on your territory is it?

I liked your article this week as well. It would be interesting to see skills utilized in PvM combat.
