July 21, 201213 yr This is gonna be vague, as all my questions are. I know I could do the math, but I trust some of you guys more, especially people that have already gotten 99. Ok so here we go. Lately, my cashpile as been growing because of a few good investments, and one great one.I'm thinking d hide/ gems for crafting, and d bones for prayer. Not sure on herblore, probably some sort of supers until exts. How much would each cost?80-99 crafting84-99 herblore91-99 prayer (already have 91 banked.)75-99 con And on herblore if you could factor in extremes once, and once without, that'd be awesome. Bear in mind I can't afford the most expensive methods, but I CAN afford some fairly expensive ones. Let's say I have about 150-200m to work with. Thank you so much.
July 21, 201213 yr Rough estimates. Crafting: 60-70m (green dhide)Herblore depends awful alot about how many extremes/ovls you are planning to make, so it takes alot of calculation. If you do no extremes/ovls at all, doing prayer potions only, it would cost also about 60m. Let's say you do reasonable amount of ovls/extremes in the process, we should be talking about 100-120m. If you do only extremes/ovls when you can start doing them, this will most likely be ALOT more (I haven't calculated).Prayer: ~ 80m (infernal ashes)Construction: ~ 160m (mahogany) or ~100m (oak/teak) Doing cheaper and slower (yet reasonable like doing oak instead of mahogany or infernal ashes instead of d or fd bones) you could get them all to 99 with about 300-350m (including about 50m worth of ovls). Faster methods, add about 100-200m. Rought estimates, but should give you a picture.
July 21, 201213 yr Author Also, if anyone could give me the estimated hrs as well, that would be sick.
July 21, 201213 yr This will help you find the cost of Herblore using different potions: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?herbIf you do super str (What I did for most of my levels) you will need 67.1m+ depending on price changes & it will take you 25+ hours (Not quite sure on pots p/h)I would also recommend using a 1 click bank at a place like Soulwars where you will not get any random events. Prayer with dragon bones will cost you around 77mPrayer with frost dragon bones will cost you around 141m(I would not recommend using baby drag/big bones because they take too long to use) Not sure about the other skills xD Website corrections ~ Items & Shops ~ Bestiary ~ Quests ~ Maps & Calculators[spoiler=Rare Drops/Splits (Feb 2013 - ??)]
July 21, 201213 yr Remember with herblore its a really good idea to do most of your training on extremes and then overloads as soon as possible. Well, assuming you'll use them anyway, so for that skill its better to maybe not select the very cheapest xp/gp all the way to 99. July 21, 201213 yr I would very highly recommend setting aside 10m for crafting. Just buy 600 battlestaves per day from the GE plus some from Zaff's shop, and you got ~90k xp per day at a low price. It's a very relaxed and cheap way to train crafting at a steady pace - you'll be 99 in about 120 days, give or take. July 21, 201213 yr Author do i make the highest xp staff, or factor in gp/xp? I think I'll just do air since its quickest.
July 21, 201213 yr Battlestaves are either like 200k xp/h at 1,5-2gp /xp or 280k xp/h at over 4gp/xp. Doing cheaper method you could save 30m, but it would take you about 1,5 months longer. It's only 20 minutes of crafting per day though in any case. But battlestaves are obviously a great option if you can stand waiting and are not in hurry. Or have other skills to train while waiting for bstaves to buy. Doing weekly clan citadel might be reasonable option too. It's reasonable experience considering it's free, especially when you have 30% bonus and charge your clan ring while at it.
July 22, 201213 yr I probably shoulda started bstaves long ago..That's what every other battlestave crafter ever said :P (including me). But, given that 99 crafting is only useful when you're maxing anyway, you pretty much have until 2450 total before you need to start worrying about that. July 22, 201213 yr Don't forget that flasks are crafting exp that you can profit from once you sell them. You make them for the same exp as making water battlestaves. (Last I checked)

I did 99 crafting like this, cost me around 30m all up and didn't take that long. I had a good friend help me by keeping a GE offer in for battlestaffs so I got them twice as fast. The only problem with this method is that it requires a decent amount of money to be tied up (to get a good stock of staffs) even if the gp/xp isn't overly high.
