Hey everyone, I'm looking to dump some more money into skills and such so I'm looking to buy gear for all bosses so that I can still make money once I spend a bunch, I'm also interested in learning the new strategies for bosses since the EoC was released as all I've really done is Bandos.

 

Bosses I'm going to want to do:

-All God Wars bossing including Nex (I already have a strategy & equipment for Bandos but haven't tried any others since EoC).

-Dagannoth Kings (If they are even worth doing anymore)

-Queen Black Dragon

-Any other bosses that may be profitable? I haven't been bossing much since EoC but really looking to get into it!

 

If you have any ideas of what gear I would need to do efficient trips as well as the strategies/weaknesses for bosses please let me know, Thanks!

Zamorak boss is very easy now, possibly easier than Bandos. He's weak against fire, so use fire surge or bloodfire barrage. Take your best mage gear. I use wand + shield, but you can probably do it with a staff if you have soul split. You can stay there pretty much forever if you have soul split, even if you don't you can get dozens of kills easily. You don't need antipoison anymore, he very rarely poisons and it hits very low. The main challenge is finding an empty world.

 

I haven't tried DKS myself, but I've heard they're almost impossible to solo now.

Awesome, I just unlocked Soul Split today and it's insane! I used 1 rocktail and had like 200 KC before I had to go. So what kind of mage gear is good now? I'm willing to spend a decent amount for good gear, Just not too sure on what's good now. Also what Wand/Shield or would a 2H Staff be better if I can survive? Thanks for the reply!

I'd probably lean more towards Gano/Ahrims, Is gano significantly better? If so, Are the repairs worth it and how often do you need to recharge?

 

Also, About the Penance Aura I do have that and it's AMAZING, I use that while Turmoil/Soul-Splitting and have full Prayer & Health for the full hour it's active, Not having to eat or drink a potion at all. On the topic of Auras, What would be a good second aura to Penance? Preferably combat related but if theres a really good one for skills I might consider that aswell.

I have no idea about penance but vampyrism is a good one but soul split should cover it.

Gano is every 10 hours and is tier 75 Mage gear ahrims is tier 70 and has 15 hours before recharge, but I'm not sure on recharge costs

 

edit: basically gano is a step between ahrims and virtus

Ahrim ? Why not Akrise ? Additional prayer bonus don't hurt at all, both got same tier and are magic armours.

Alright so I think I'm going to go with Gano. That gives me Gano and Veracs (May upgrade to Bandos to avoid repairs but not sure), I also have a vine whip/godsword and working on some chaotics. What am I going to want to use for ranging gear (or is there any bosses that ranged is really useful against anymore)? And about mage gear, Will I want to use the Wand/Shield or a 2H Staff and which ones should I use?

Also, I got a good deal on some Dharoks, Is it any good for anything since they updated it?

It's 690k without repairing weapon or using PoH (the weapon costs 300k)

 

But of course, this is assuming you don't die with it.

For crossbows, it should closer resemble the following, purely from damage point of view

 

Royal Xbow > Black Salamander >= Karil's Crossbow >>> Chaotic Crossbow > Armadyl > Karil Pistols

 

Black salamander has the exact same stats and power as Karil's Crossbow, but the weapon is cheaper and no degrade. The Tars are on the rise though so it might end up more expensive than Karil's
