mlskid Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 I'm having trouble with beating the boss on Brink of Extinction and I was wondering what people here had as setups/strategies/anything else that would be helpful for me to beat this boss. country devil Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 use Mage gear(ahrims/akrisai/gano) and use ica barrage. use a slash weapon to kill the range guy so only melee guys spawn and drag him to a corner, barrage away with abilities, use soulsplit/deflect melee and avoid the lava tiles as they popup Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nico Robin Posted January 11, 2013 Share Posted January 11, 2013 I used melee with a crush weapon and a shield. Don't soulsplit/deflect melee...use only deflect or protect melee. Otherwise the boss is just going to hit you with a massive 5k damage. I used the shield ability rejuvination to heal myself :) saves some food from being used in the beginning making it into emergency food. 899th to 120 attack! August 9, 2014~! Since you have 74 Construction, you can easily boost (tea, crystal saw etc.) to get hold of a gilded altar if you don't have one already, which allows faster and more convenient training than using someone else's. I personally use regular dragon bones as a good balance between speed and value. Use a stack of house teletabs to teleport there, and use the Tokkul-Zo to teleport back to a bank. Use a War Tortoise and pick up 2 marrentill each trip, then fill with bones. All of the TokKul-Zo teleport options send you right next to a bank except the Plaza (option 1), but I tend to use the Fight Cave (option 3) by habit because there's also a fairy ring there. To save money, use the Wisdom aura and use recharge gems on any Pendants of Prayer you have lying around (10 per recharge, small gems for regular pendants, large gems for prized ones). ~ W ~ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
