Powerfrog
Let's face it, runescape has a lot of "click and wait" parts to it. While doing these types of things a lot of us like to watch TV or do other activities, but you can't play many games as they take too much attention or simply would be annoying to pause every 30 seconds. Know of any good games that are not really time restricted and can be played leisurely? Stuff like card games or turn based strategy games come to mind. I've been recently playing online poker (gf £10) but kinda bored of it now plus it's online so time restricted. I personally play rs on a massive tv screen so can easily window it and the game to small sizes and have them both visible :P
Arceus
Hmm, I personally don't mind pausing every minute to throw more logs on the bonfire, so I'm unsure as to what would be good...but if you don't mind the pausing (there is a hotkey for it) I can recommend a game worth trying. TTanT
-RPG-Maker games are usually good for that (there will be occasional moments where you need real-time reflexes but if you die while grinding that's what saves are for. -Visual novels are just about the kings of "pick your own pace" gameplay, if you're into those. -If you browse Kongregate or a similar site I'm sure they'll have a turn-based strategy game you'll like. D. V. Devnull
Powerfrog, you might also want to go check out Jagex @ FunOrb's "Arcanists". It's a turn-based, comedy-loaded, magic mayhem kind of game. From what I understand, it reminds some people of Worms Armageddon. Of course, you might have to have a 2nd account to use to login over there, as otherwise there might be a login conflict. But, other than that, it can be enjoyable. :) ~D. V. Powerfrog
I'm not ignoring any suggestions there are just too many to address... Ahh yes dungeons of dredmor was pretty cool. As is the Sonny series for the flash game enthusiasts. I also really like FTL (Faster than light) I think I'll try some more rouge-like type games, they seem to really suit the purpose, and it's kinda neat to have "Yay i just permanently got 70 strength on my pure" at the same time as you say "Oh no my mage died forever in this rouge-like :(" Any fun DS games people recommend to emulate? I love the pokemon series of course and it's good for this kind of thing, but I recently beat Platinum for the 4th time and I need something new. (OOOH! Advance Wars!) Alg
Any fun DS games people recommend to emulate?Fire Emblem. The DS ones are Shadow Dragon and Heroes of Light and Shadow. They're remakes of the first and third games (Read: the ones with Marth of Smash Bros fame). The former was released in English and the latter has a complete fan-translation. The rest of the series might also have what you're looking for. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. It's a Pokemon roguelike, what more do you want? Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (Dark Conflict in Europe and Australia) is honestly one of the best DS games I ever played. Completed pearl, soul silver and black all while semi-afking runescape.Other than that on a DS theme, FF games are good to play while afking rs, completed FF3 and FF4 similarly to pokemon.
