Meh, im getting better at this. I have full bronze (level 14 now) doing a plethora of quests.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It is worth it to join a random party, even if you are on separate quests. The XP sharing is FAST.

Sounds like Engrish for a server timeout. Are you running any kind of firewall that might block the game's internet traffic?

During the day on the weekends, it's near impossible to get in.. can take hours. Just keep trying.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And about once or twice a week, they shut the servers down usually at night and "examine them", they supposedly look for hacked items, hackers, bots, etc..

 

 

 

During that time, if you're already on there's a chance you'll remain on, or you might get kicked off, but if you aren't on, you won't be able to get on and you'll get that message. It usually lasts all nigth (EST time zone), but yesterday they did it and it was only 30 mins.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It is worth joining random parties, if they are "XP each get". For every person in the party, up to four for taht type of party, you get an experience bonus, it applies even if you are on opposite sides of the world. If four people are in my party, and I'm killing Earth Taoists for example, I might get 600 XP (estimate), and if I'm alone, I might get 550 XP(estimating again). I don't really like the share xp parties It seems to be slower, especially if not everyone is fighting at your pace, and if you're not fighting at theirs you might get kicked out for leeching off their xp. I don't want to spend an hour typing up an explanation, so I'm gonna copy/paste something my friend wrote:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

in sro.. there is a ratio that is used to determine how many points go to sp's verses how many go to xp's.. this ratio is.. (ehem) your highest skill level vs your character level.. so if you're character is level 6 and has a force skill of 5 then your sp to xp level ratio is 5:6... (which is rather heavy on the XP side).. now there is a thing that happens when the ratio gets lower on the sp side and higher on the xp side which is this... the points get pushed more and more to the sp's until they are 9 levels apart.. (then there is no more differene) sooooo... ideally... if you're trying to raise up your skill points by farming... you wanna keep your higest skill mastery level exactly 9 levels below your character level.. this will set the ratio to the heaviest favor for sp's over xps'... you'll still get xps'.. just not as many cause all the points will be going to your sp's.. and consequently.. i hear that doing this sets your character leveling speed to a very slow crawl...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

so far as i can tell.. your skill mastery levels can only be as high as your character level... or maybe it's one less... either way.. if you're trying to get your points to go back toward xps more and not so much sp's.. then just jack up one of your skill levels to your charcter level and all the future xps will favor XPS instead of SPS.. (WARNING THIS IS LIKE HAVING REALLY LONG HAIR AND DECIDING TO SHAVE YOUR HEAD)... remember it goes against your *highest* skill mastery level.. so any one of them could do it.. if you set the skill mastery level high again. you'll need to level 9 more character levels before you'll see that particular ratio again...

Level 10 now, using a polearm with fire magic/lightning magic. Well, light magic so I can use the atack speed buff, fire magic for the extra damage buff. Works out great. :)

Ive noticed that thieves are annoying. They pop out of nowhere and if the caravan they were chasing gets away, they attack you (level 20 thief vs level 14 = not fun fight).

By the way if anyone was thinking of pm'ing me asking for suggestions, think again, I havent got a clue what im doing, but im level 6. 8)

Farming those skill points really was a brilliant tip, I've gained well over 70 levelling from 8 to 11. I'm kinda tempted to invest them now though, since I'm really having trouble with the Bandit Archers I have to kill for this quest, and my equipment sums up to +8 intelligence, giving me plenty of mp to burn.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, I've found a Scroll of Returning and some sort of black scarf that's supposed to give me +15% xp, although I haven't noticed any difference besides the fact that I don't look quite as silly now that my helmet is invisible :P Anyway, what are these items good for?

I'm not sure how to cast spells (use up mp) or how to use skill points. I'm level 7 and I have about 75 skill points atm.

You can invest skill points under the skill tab (opened with s I think). Once you have skills, you can set them to the quickslots at the bottom of your screen, along with items, by clicking on them and then clicking on the slot you want to set them to.

The slot with the M, you can use by pressing X, or the wheel button on yoru mouse if you ahve one. I like to have my HP pots in there, as its pretty easy to be constandly clickign it when I'm getting pwned.

 

 

 

But, I recommend stronlgy to SAVE UP YOURSKILL POINTS!! Try to keep a 9 level difference between your highest mastery level(not total mastery), and your character level. Since leveling up in t he early levels is easy, you will gain TONS of skill points, but level slower, but it's ebtter than trying to do it when it takesa long time to level, or you will take weeks to level up. In the long run though you will have a very powerful character, with lots of spells and skills. If you need any advice on what to get, just ask, and post what weapon you use etc..
