It is that time once again. Yes, time for another sticky to remind you all that the Help Board should be used for questions, and not General and General P2P.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But this time it's a little different...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have come to the conclusion that part of this problem lies in the board itself. It seems that Gen/Gen P2P are a much more effective way to get a question answered than the Help Board due to it's greater amount of traffic. This is where YOU come in to help.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What we need, are people from all over Tipit to pop in the Help Board once in a while to answer questions. Help a brother out, ya know? There are people who visit there regularly to help others out and we can't tell you how thankful we are of that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This should hopefully make the Help Board a more effective way to ask a question, and with that we should see less 'Help me' topics in our discussion boards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So head over to the Help Board, in its new strategically placed location, and give a hand to someone who needs it. And when you have a question of your own, you'll have a better 'Help Board' in which to ask it.

Nice call with the board movement. I was browzing the Help Forum for 15 minutes before I realised what board I was actually in.

to all you with low post count, answering a question on the help board will help raise your count, and it can be an short simple post, and still be as helpful or as meaningful as any other post!

ive been a tip it member for ages and i dont really post much i just read but i guess ill help people out now

I must admit I have used the help board only when I needed it so now I will go on at least everytime I come on the pc and try to help out one person.

I try to answer as many question there as I can, but it is becoming really tedious with all the repeat questions, e.g, best way to make money? How to train a skill from lvl X to lvl Z, Are my stats good enough for Barrows etc

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

People never search before they post a question, a lot the posters could answer their own questions with a little search...

now i get why you switched general p2p with help and advice... :P i have to go back every time and actually read what im clicking on now :cry:

I think the main problem, which is why I don't ever bother to go and offer a hand, is that most questions can be answered just by using the search feature.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have had numerous questions I've wanted to ask, and the first thing I do when I want an answer is seek out that answer. Whereas other people/users just go and make a post without even thinking or bothering of using the search feature.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Its a phrase used too often... "The search button is your friend"... and it couldn't be more true.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Every question ever asked is bound to be covered/answered somewhere on this forum. Especially the newer updates. And there are few exceptions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Players who have questions would serve the community better if they would at least try to find their answer before asking.
