I always find people calling meta-gamers arrogant suffer from the issue of being unable to accept objective factual answers.

 

Eg they find arrogance in and annoyance from the fact metagamers say 'this is best' with no shades of grey. Because they have all sorts of subjective views about fun and such and refuse to see that metagamers ignore all the subjective factors and boils down to pure and simple numbers game of this is better no ifs ands or buts.

I fear that some players forget that other players just want to have fun on the game. Oh well

More like efficiencists are really black and white, since there is usually a 'most efficient' way to do something and won't consider the alternatives because it is 'less efficient', but sometimes do forget a few other human factors too.

I would rather be arrogant than wrong

Rather than saying, "I don't like this, it sucks," you need to present a valid argument for your rant and back it up. When creating your topic, imagine how people would respond. Would they have something to say at all? If you can think of valid responses and discussions, the chances are that you have a valid topic/argument. As an example, if you want to rant about an aspect of the RuneScape game, first describe that aspect. Then explain what you think about it, why it negatively affects the game and/or community, and maybe even provide a solution to the problem or describe what Jagex should do to fix it.
