July 18, 201312 yr I did the quest to get the royal crossbow but now I need to brand it.... any tips on how to kill the qbd and what armour best to use ? I am maxed and can access NEX armour if its worth it.... Moreover is it worthed to get the royal crossbow branded and not go for zaros or ascension ?
July 18, 201312 yr Ascension bows are better by miles, though if you can only afford one, the extra accuracy makes up for it by miles.However, I would STRONGLY reccomend making a royal crossbow:Drygores, ports/nex armour (If you have ports, use it)Not much else, ovl, antifire, 4 sup restores/ppots, best BoB of rocktails and you're set. Bring a phoenix necklace too for final phase. July 18, 201312 yr With the Penance Aura activated you shouldn't need any prayer potions.1 overload, 1 super antifire, the rest rocktails. It would probably be easiest for you using mage or ranged, try a zaryte bow or something.

If you can afford them you should use them. It can still be done in void, and a CMaul but I wasn't giving advice to the general public, I was advising the OP. I personally know people who have forged their rcb in tier 6 armor with tier 7 weapons. It's possible but not recommended. July 19, 201312 yr Author tried yesterday twice with full virtus, wand and book and was demolished at 4th Phase and 2nd phase....maybe casue it was my first time and on first time game was lagging. Trying again today with full torva and drygores..... do I need to do anything to brandish the royal cb or just leave in inventory ?

July 20, 201312 yr it's worth noting that if your goal is foraging the bow, don't worry about dying to the flames (as in eating) just focus on brandishing it. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).
