Yoko Kurama
I wish there was more to the road trip... after day 10 of the month its pretty much done. Oh well its better than hearing peopke complain they couldnt finish. It's much better this way. The Super September Challenge (although I completed all 30) was sort of tedious.
Miss Lioness
Gwyn, I beg to differ on the subject of the shinies. The games where they were released in, they actually had an advantage. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. helring
Trim was specifically added in as a semi-unreasonable goal. Its not for everyone to complete. Its only for those who have hit that cliff of all 99's, 120 dunge, all tasks, all music, all quests etc and still want something to do. Its meant to be time consuming. I haven't really met many people that cite champ scrolls as the reason they won't trim, it always seems to be the ridiculous castle wars requirement they mention. With Master Capes now, I don't really think that comp trim is something that many will be going for. R.I.P. The olde nite. In Generation II, Shininess is determined by the IVs of a Pokémon. If a Pokémon's Speed, Defense, and Special IVs are all 10, and its Attack IV is 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14 or 15, it will be Shiny.Terrible IVs are an "advantage"? The games where they were released in, they actually had an advantage. What was that, preventing you from running if you encountered one in the wild? [spoiler=Off-Topic]Common misconception, but that actually isn't the case. People think that you can't run away from shinies because they encountered them using the shiny Pokémon gameshark code, which makes the wild encounter act as if it was the red Gyarados encounter. It makes the wild Pokémon shiny since the red Gyarados encounter forces a shiny, but you also can't run from the red Gyarados encounter, therefore you can't run from shinies encountered using the cheat code. And y'all are ignoring Bluto =CIVs of 10 out of a maximum of 31 ... an advantage has to be good or it's called a disadvantage. Nonetheless, does this "advantage" exist outside of shinies? Can you get other non-shiny Pokemon with better stats? Of course you can. Are the stats of the trimmed completionist cape only found on the trimmed completionist cape? Miss Lioness
It was more as a comparison to the champ scrolls o.O... If you get 1 champ scrolls the next one wouldn't have a higher droprate. Saradomin_Mage
And only for that one generation ;-; Anyway my point is that shinies don't give an in-game advantage that is unique to them. Even in the case of Gen 2, you can get Pokemon with a better IV spread than those of shinies, so there's no real advantage to have a shiny over a normal Pokemon. Much like trimmed comp over normal comp. GAAAHHH!! 1 In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
