is there any documentation on the expanded drop tables for this weekend

Not totally sure but it SEEMS like we're getting higher quantities of normal loot from rago.  (I got 45 and 47 onyx bolts in 2 drops, when the wiki says he drops 20-40).  My friend got 38 grimy torstols.

best drops (reasonably accurate/up to date): 1x Elysian Sigil (LS), 1x Arcane Sigil (cs), 4x Armadyl Hilt (solo at 100m, 100m, 50m, and 5m), 2x Saradomin Hilt (solo at 25m), 5x Draconic Visage (34m,1.2m,1.2m) and various cs/ls/ffa Nex splits.
Drygore Drops: 7 Longswords, 3 Maces, 3 Rapiers, 3 Off-hand Rapiers,  5 Off-hand Maces, 3 Off-hand Longswords

ROTS Shields: 12  Seismics: 16

Ascension Crossbows: 6  Spider Legs: 10

Countless Armadyl armour pieces, Saradomin amulets, Dragon Hatchets, and Fremenik Rings.

It looks like some drops are doubled (four dstone instead of two from kk), and drop RATE of the goodies is doubled too

Thats the rare drops being doubled, which is independent of the 'expanded drop tables' for kk rago and rots

Yeha I'm just gunna get it marked off via Jmod. It's stupidly done.

It makes good sense. They shouldn't reward you if you didn't finish it completely. That would be similar to giving you a farming cape before you hit 99.

Or they could just let the higher level locations fill up your limit even though you have 1% left and the location fills up 3% each time.

So basically, like not letting you get 99 farming unless you get exactly 13,034.431 experience. Because that's a very fun metaphor :-D

If you get close to that number, you have to farm cabbages to fill in that extra xp. All hail Brassica!

Has anyone else had issues with the Divination Location Gathering Limit...one? I've done it twice now but it wont mark off.

No problem for me. I even completed the challenge despite having 2 items left to gather of my limit (62 rocktails at 1 rocktail counting as 4 towards the limit). If you are capping rocktails or Box trap or something like that, just cut a couple of Yews to get to 250/250.

I wonder if runespan might screw people over this weekend if they forget to leave.

Afterall current points in inventory can go up and down and is dynamically based on the runes you have, therefore logic would suggest it is entirely possible if you do not leave (and thus turn your runes in) that when the doubled points go away your current inventory score could easily un-double and cause you to lose all those extra points.

Well apparently it's possible to get ~40k points/hour by claiming runes, leaving, enetering, repeating.

Kind of funny how they missed that one, and I hope the people who abuse it get banned/rolled back.

So that's the bug?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be?~ Marianne Williamson

I noticed that but decided not to abuse it.

Go in pay 177 points for the runes.

Then you inventory is worth 354 points.

[bleep] Pyramid Plunder and Jagex's irrational and infantile obsession with the RNG.

There are people that got Ibis and the SotG within 2 hours of this weekend, whereas others (such as myself) have been at it for far longer without any success. Instead of coming up with something creative like a point system per trip/urn/sarcophagus to trade in, they went for the worst possible option, which is just completely luck based and the most likely to induce carpal tunnel.

I was sort of beginning to like Jagex and they pull something like this. I get it that in real life sometimes luck matters, and that's fine, but in a controlled environment why would you want to opt for pure randomness whereby often people get nothing regardless of their effort? And why would you implement it for nearly everything as Jagex does? It makes absolutely no sense. A little randomness can be fun and quaint, but to push it everywhere is ridiculous. God, I hope their weekend was as unpleasant as mine and that of countless other people who couldn't recieve the blessing of Jagex's much-vaunted RNG. They don't learn anything, ever.

I don't think you should have expected Jagex to revamp PP *just* for this weekend.

I didn't expect them to do anything, I never expect them to do anything. But it would have been the right, healthy, creative, and intelligent thing to do.

It's not something I just realized. It's an insight that is reinforced every time they foolishly push the RNG as the master determinant of progress.

wait are you only now complaining about how an update was implemented 3 years ago

on the opposite side of your argument, wouldn't the people who only took 2 hours to obtain ibis/SOTG much prefer the RNG system? like a certain ex-crew member on this site

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Black ibis and SotG were released in 2011.

But you're saying that you were beginning to like them and "then they pull something like this" (basically you were beginning to like them, then suddenly don't anymore for something that was done 3 years ago. ?????????)

Sure, it would be better if they made Black Ibis and SotG more reasonably attainable (Black ibis maybe, but I don't think SotG should be more easily obtainable since all it does is hold more teleport charges and unlock four hidden urns, so if Black Ibis is made more easy to get, then the sceptre's main appeal would be prestige and nothing much more), but expecting them to revamp a 3 year old piece of content just so everyone has an equal opportunity of getting Black Ibis for a period of 2-3 days is a bit much.

While that was pretty awesome to get, I'd still rather it wasn't luck based :(

Things like skill outfits should be the kind of thing you can set out to get (see construction outfit) because you want to boost your xp, not something you may or may not get by the time you hit 99 :(

Of course changing these things now means people that already went and got ibis etc would cry so Jagex probably won't do it, sadly.

I never approved of the rarity of these two items. I am only talking about it since it's sort of topical at the moment.

As for equal opportunity or not, I'd prefer alternative arrangements to the RNG, or ways to mitigate its extreme cases. Not necessarily equal opportunity, but something.

As for beginning to like them and suddenly disliking them over this weekend, that was just hyperbole.  |^_^|

The reason I find myself frustrated with this weekend is that there will lots of people who will spend lots of time on the weekend because of the promotion (myself included), and possibly not get anything. I think that sucks.

There's plenty of things I think should be revamped. Again, I did not expect them to revamp them for this weekend, specifically, but actually being there and doing it, did make me resent it more, and more strongly feel positively towards a revamp.

I am sure such people would prefer the RNG. But it doesn't really matter. I bought my Seismic set for 3b and would kind of like if it was 3b forever so I don't lose asset value - but Jagex should ignore me or my interests, because it's better overall and long term for the game if Seismics are more affordable, even if I personally don't benefit from this. Same principle applies. Just because some people were fortunate enough to get lucky by the RNG is not really a good justification for Jagex to use it for everything or to allow extreme cases.

A system similar to minigame hybrid armour would be decent for something like ibis, at best. An alternative would be something similar to Shards of Armadyl, which counters problems of extreme rarity and rewards consistent effort. OSRS has two skilling sets that are obtained in this fashion, and it's quite an enjoyable way to obtain your gear.

There's still not much that beats the kick of obtaining a super rare drop, though. When I got my SOTG everyone in the house heard it, lol.

Right, I think the hybrid system is a step in the right direction.

I am not against rare drops, but there should be safeguards in built. Like the horror stories about people who didn't get a single Champion Scroll in 20K kills or whatever, that shouldn't be able to happen. After a certain extreme threshold you should get the drop or whatever.

I am angry, but I hope people can sort of see where I am coming from.
