I wish Ironman wouldn't be able to see other people's drops, or at least not being able to click on them...

You can't, unless you deal at least 50% of the damage for the kill.

 

You can see them and click them, just not pick them up. Like for example seeing all the bones and beef from cows that people don't pick up.

 

Oh I understand now.  That does seem like a bit of an inconvenience :P.

Yeah, I've tried picking other people's drops so many times already out of habit, forgetting that I can't pick them up.  :rolleyes: I'll get used to it eventually, it's kind of amusing to see what valuable things non-DIY accounts don't bother picking up.

 

Well actually, now that I think about it, it would be kind of annoying if I was at a slayer task and trying to pick up my own drops wasting as little time as possible (like moving on to the next monster instead of waiting for the death animation to finish and drop to appear) because I'd get my drops and other people's drops confused.

Here's my data using a regular tree-shaking scrimshaw to obtain implings.

 

In 98 minutes worth of charges of my scrimshaw, I obtained the following implings:

• magpie x2
• eclectic x6
• essence x2
• ninja x5
• nature x1
• zombie x1
• dragon x1
• kingly x1
• spirit x3

I stopped @ the 98 minute mark after catching a kingly impling.

 

I also got 31 bird's nests during this time period. I don't know if this affects the chance of disturbing an impling.

 

It seems that I spawn 1 impling per every 4-5 minutes of woodcutting. Test was done at Varrock ivies (I don't want failed impling catches to fly over air/water).

Oh thats jnteresting. I used almost 2 out of 3 hours on my treeshaking scrimshaw and didnt get my dragon or kingly i need.

 

Guess ill try some more tonight.

Do you need to be cutting a crystal tree to get a crystal imp with the scrimshaw, or can you get them at ivy too.

 

I do think the chances of the high end imps spawning around the world is way too low. I think since they were released I've seen maybe 1 kingly and 1 zombie. They could increase the spawn rate of them by 10 and I still don't think it would be game breaking.

It was always there. Ironman/Ironwoman is dependent on character gender.

Crystal implings spawn rarely in the VOS and in puro puro. I have yet to hear any confirmation of them spawning from treeshaking scrimshaws or in other places.
