There is just 1 server in the entire game. Peak times it usualy has about 20k people on it at once. You don't "become" a certain ship either indy. You choose your race and many different traits. You can literaly become anything you want in this game, but to give some (generaic) ideas: - Minner - NPC Pirate hunter - Bounty hunter (get bountys that other players put on people's heads) - Engeneer (build ships, sell them) - Corperation leader The list goes on and on and on. and you'll need one of these key's to play :).
February 23, 200620 yr a little advice on the ship setup for Nadril's new punisher It's a general rule to stick to either shield tanking or armor tanking, not both, and since amarrian ships generally have few mid slots for shield tanking stuff, it's best to go with armor tanking and put maybe an afterburner and some electronic warfare mod in the mid slots, Webifiers work nicely here to slow down your enemy and make it easier to hit and catch up with. In the low slots I would suggest an armor repairer and an armor plate, with maybe a capacitor power relay to speed up capacitor regen or some resistance plating (depending on which type of npcs you are fighting) to reduce the damage you take. In the high slots a few lasers obviously, and since there is a slot that is neither launcher nor turret you could stick a nosferatu to drain energy from your oponents and add it to your own capacitor, very useful if you run out of cap fast. This isn't a game where you choose a class and then are stuck with it forever. You really can be anything you want to be in this game, in-game there are pirates, ninjas, mercenaries, mob bosses, drug smugglers, all within the context of outer space of course, but it is pretty much as open ended as it gets.
February 23, 200620 yr went to two different fansites that redirected me to a place to put in my email for a 14 day trial, i think they have some sort of affiliate program with them. oh well, as long as i get my trial im happy :D . still havent gotten the email though... decided im going to be the gallente race, intakis subrace as my character. dont know why, probably will start out horrible for a miner, but im not to worried. if i do get hooked and end up playing longer than the trial ill just start over if im not happy with it. EDIT: time to go to bed, and no key yet. lets hope it comes tommorow.

Going to add to top. part of their refferal program, takes you to that page on all 7 sites i linked from. been waiting almost 20 hours for the first ones i did, did a few throughout the day. just did this one, hopefully it works. you would think they would want you to be able to play the game, but at this point its starting to seem like its just trying to annoy you.
February 24, 200620 yr I have some friends who are big into this game, I've never bothered with it myself though. I know the characters train themselves in real time but I haven't got the time give the game the attention it deserves. I know the price. I pay it gladly.

EDIT: went through the tutorial for the past 40 minutes, i have no idea whats going on lol. at one point some one told me to take from their floating cargo or floating storage or something like that, warned me i was stealing, i thought i clicked not to take it. i dont know what happened, but i got warp blocked or something. kinda sucked when the next step in the tutorial was warping. anyways, my charachter is Tim Dever, ill be on after work tonight. (work all day, come home, work all night). this game is massive though, it seems awesome. now i just need to figure out how to play...

February 26, 200620 yr I was a beta tester for the game in a pretty early stage of the game, and it was kinda odd. Perhaps because every stage of the tutorial was accompanied by 20 of these cool error-messages that popped up on the screen. Not trying that game again ever, I don't care if those bugs were fixed 2 years ago ;P

Not trying that game again ever, I don't care if those bugs were fixed 2 years ago ;P took me like 2 hours to get through the tutorial :lol: . never got any error messages though. i have the basics of the game down ok now, but i still have no idea what im doing half the time :lol: . i just bought a 300,000 ship (all my money at the time), turns out i cant use it. and i cant find the skill that i need to train in the skill list, so ill have to figure that out. @nadril: i got your pm's but i was watching movies all of yesterday, when i noticed you were logged off. id start something then go off and watch the movies, so i just didnt notice. wasnt trying to ignore you :P

February 26, 200620 yr *sniff sniff* ah, i smell a tip.it corporation starting :D anyways, for those who just want to do the trial, they kind of nerf miners a little bit. trial users cant use some of the bigger mining vessels, so they dont get a lot of macro-mining trial users and screw up the economy. at least thats what some of the teal-text people said in the rookie channel :D
