April 25, 201511 yr Kimberly you are the exception, not the rule. IMO of course. You're right, there are so many people choosing their max capes with simply using completionist cape overrides. That has to be it. Yep.YEP. Status is important but if comp was an arbitrary goal with no in-game Best-In-Slot incentivization, you wouldn't have as many comp capers. A reasonable (if nowhere near perfect) analogy to this is simply comparing the number of trimmed compers to regular comps. It simply doesn't make sense to claim any sort of primary motivation for achieving comp, certainly not one that is based entirely on perceived status. Human nature simply doesn't work that way. And no, I wasn't calling you a tryhard.
April 25, 201511 yr It still has very good uses. A huge number of the people want it to show it off, primarily. That is from my personal experiences with people with the comp cape. We can talk and talk, but it comes down to what we see around us. Now onto topic, has anyone found a decent way to turn this content from its throes of despair and make it tolerable? Back after a 5 year TIF hiatus. Please don't mind me too much.
April 25, 201511 yr Basically camp BA till you got all three and then move on to another multispot, for example Shilo Village with Trout/Salmon. BA nets soo much Prawn Balls that you can get plenty of mystery eggs/Golden Crackers from it to have at least another 5-6 eggs done. (Or I must be insanely lucky for that to happen). On average I got about 700-800 prawn balls before I get all three BA eggs, which means about 4 Golden Crackers or about 8 eggs if you do Golden Crackers for Golden Crackers. Then you are at about 12 eggs, doing another 2 from a multispot should net you with at least another egg from the Prawn Balls. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. April 28, 201511 yr One small update I'd love to see is the ability to right click > activate all my prawn pennies/pounds, instead of having to reclick them (and then the fishing spot) every so often. (And if you get the perk that extends their duration while you have charges active it'd just add charges as appropriate based on the charges you currently have.) Also, right click > open all prawn balls would be lovely as well. Obtained quest cape and base 92 before obtaining any 99s! Currently finishing out my 99s with the (long-distant) goal of comp cape.
