March 6, 200620 yr I take Civics, which is stuff I already know concerning our almightily wonderful, perfect, free American government and about how it came to be that way after the tyrannic, Nazi English King opressed us. Civics... When I took that I couldn't stand it... It's all propoganda, in short, it's BS. The American government is currently one of the more corrupt governments among the OECD countries... Oh and for the record? The Nazi's were Fascists. 18th century England was run under a Ogliarchy. There's a difference, a big difference... I know that. It was poetic license, since the opression is often compared to the Holocause opression of the Jews by my wonderful countrymen. It would be rather pointless for me to rant about my classes being easy and then make a blatant error about it, wouldn't it? handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"

Do you even know the real reason behind Hitler's Holocaust? Before the "Racial Cleansing" 80% of the proffessors at Berlin University were Jewish. The Jewish people are a very competitive people. The oppression towards your "wonderful countrymen" by the British was one concerning a matter of power. The Americans were getting to self-sufficient and no-longer needed Britain. The Americans unofficially boycotted English items. This led to financial crisis in England. Soon there was talk about independance. The King of England had to do something. His country was in financial debt and was about to lose one of the most fruitful of it's empirical colonies. He had no choice but to oppress.

Thats what its called. I remember that from 7th grade history last year. And also Nazi-Germany was NOT FASCIST. They were TOTALITARIAN. Fascism is having blind loyalty to your nation and the government is in control of the media and you dont get freedom of speech.

Fascism is having blind loyalty to your nation and the government is in control of the media and you dont get freedom of speech. Both of you missed the boat. The two events are analagous in the fact that CERTAIN PARTIES WERE OPRESSED. I said NOTHING about type of government, motives, or hidden agendas. I know all that. I know how Hitler used the Jews as scapegoats. I could spout off all day about types of government. But THAT'S NOT THE POINT. THE POINT IS THAT IN THE LATER 1700s THE AMERICANS WERE OPRESSED, AND IN THE HOLOCAUST THE JEWS WERE OPRESSED. BOTH PARTIES WERE OPRESSED BY TYRANNICAL PARTIES. Honestly, must I spoon feed everything to you people? handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"

Fascism is having blind loyalty to your nation and the government is in control of the media and you dont get freedom of speech. Sorry, what? I know it was a totalitarian system but the National Socialist Party was very closely linked to facism. In fact the definition of facism which you just gave pretty much sums up life in Nazi Germany. Everyone was supposed to be loyal to the Fuhrer and the state,Joseph Goebbels, a senior Nazi member controlled the media, and anyone who attempted freedom of speech would generally of been rounded up by the Gestapo and sent off to the concentration camps. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
March 9, 200620 yr How on earth did a topic on what your favorite topic is in school, become a discussion on what happened between the Nazis and the Jews. On Topic- AP Psychology and AP HIstory were my favorite. Your true character is what you are like when you believe there are no repercussions.
March 9, 200620 yr Honestly, must I spoon feed everything to you people? And the Oscar for 'Most Arrogant Performance' goes to... Dreaming of that face againIt's bright, and blue, and shimmeringGrinning wideAnd comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes
March 9, 200620 yr Honestly, must I spoon feed everything to you people? And the Oscar for 'Most Arrogant Performance' goes to... Yes, I am arrogant. That's why I picked holes in somebody's argument that weren't even there  . handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"
March 10, 200620 yr Invidious im really getting sick of your "know it all attitude", especially when half the information you provide is wrong. For one: the holocaust was never thought up by hitler, but rather Adolf Eichmann. And to the guy that declared nazi germany to be totalitarian, well your wrong, it wasn't.
March 10, 200620 yr Usually it is: 1 math 2science 3social studies (history) 4language 5english however this year it is 1social studies - great teacher 2math - I like math 3language (spanish) - one of my best friend sits next to me and we look up the most abstract phrases in spanish 4english - interesting teacher and good view on life 5science (bio) - not that great teacher, anyways chem and physics are better PDM PDM
March 13, 200620 yr Both of you missed the boat. The two events are analagous in the fact that CERTAIN PARTIES WERE OPRESSED. BOTH PARTIES WERE OPRESSED BY TYRANNICAL PARTIES. But the motives behind the oppression were completely different. Does the Justification not matter? Invidious im really getting sick of your "know it all attitude", especially when half the information you provide is wrong. For one: the holocaust was never thought up by hitler, but rather Adolf Eichmann. Half the information I provide is wrong? Please. Must we debate who's idea what what was? What matters most is who PREFORMED and ORCHESTRATED the devious act in question. And to the guy that declared nazi germany to be totalitarian, well your wrong, it wasn't. That's completely debatable. Nazi Germany was called a Totaliarian society but in many ways it reflected Fascism more... The Jews were being used as SCAPEGOATS. Thats what its called. Then I am guilty of being an ESLL. Happy?
