Ryan
Honestly sites like myspace and purevolume. As much as I hate myspace it seems to be working for all the emo bands. The same goes to purevolume, but atleast it's only focus is music. I'm assuming you already knew these though :P.

Mercifull
Myspace and purevolume are ok...ish but the best way is to fire of shed loads of promo cd's to commercial radio stations, the bbc, record companies and clubs. Write or email your local news papers too about your story, they are always interested in this kind of news. then try and get some venues, doing a small set before a band comes on or something. Necromagus
Oh, it should be a lot easier than that. Just wait for the next series of Idols (or whatever it's called in the UK), put on some clogs and a clown wig and make a complete fool out of yourself in front of the jury. Oy_the_Great
In Belgium we have a lot of youth clubs that promote their local artist, that's why there's so many (good) bands here. We also have quite a number of music competitions; like Humo's PopPoll; which is the main launching pad for rock bands. But to get in there you'll need to be pretty damn good too ;) Don't you guys in England have the same stuff? I know that England is the source of all good music so it can't be too hard to get good music off to a good start, can it? Bill Hicks[/url]":dhj2kan9]Since the one thing we can say about fundamental matter is, that it is vibrating. And since all vibrations are theoretically sound, then it is not unreasonable to suggest that the universe is music and should be perceived as such. cheguarana
Post on forums of the genre you play and say "Check out this band!" And offer samples to download?
