Tomato
So, I'm in Audorgne working on a treasure scroll. I am level 48, and walking around in full rune. A level 100(whom shall remain nameless) comes up and starts talking. He seems really friendly. He then offers to give me a free dragon long. I say "sure!" and he says "follow me". He then brings me to that house with the level that takes you to level 56 wilderness. Luckily, I ask a friend about it and don't go. The level 100 keeps saying "Come on for a free dragon long!". I decline, of course, and proceed to report him. Now, is what he committed "scamming" in your opinions?
das
Yes :P "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."Abraham Lincoln

moron8275
It is a scam, and you shouldn't ever follow anyone for something, unless you really, really trust them. Also let me take this moment to say: Get a bank pin. It can save your bank.

Satenza
This is NOT as scam. It's just a pathetic luring... Please read the scamming rules on the site. It's an un-reportable offense. A scam is chenging the trade deal at the last second ect. This is just taking you into the wild. Not a scam. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
sabre_iron
someone was recently sent a warning by jagex for "trade luring" while it isnt scamming it is every bit as bad as far as im concerned and forms of this have been going on since i was a newb (almost 3 years ago)
Giordano
Yes it is scamming, since Jagex made a rule that you can not post Drop Party locations in fourms, since it can be in the wildy. Same rule applies here. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
All_Bogs
This is NOT as scam. It's just a pathetic luring... Please read the scamming rules on the site. It's an un-reportable offense. A scam is chenging the trade deal at the last second ect. This is just taking you into the wild. Not a scam. Rule 2 - Item Scamming You must not scam or deceive other players. Lying to other players for your own personal gain is not in the spirit of the game. I'd say this qualifies as deceiving and thus falls under item scamming. aznmidget448
I think this is one of those "On the line" scams. It's not exactly a scam, but if think about it, it is... I can't really give a direct answer...

sheepdean
simialir thing has happened to me.... 3 times. yes im stupid, and yes i reported every time, but if i had simply read all warnings and known that candles could explode.... Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.
