To get the gloves you have to have done one of the, if not -the- hardest quest in the game (DT) and have 175 qp.

Not many people do that these days-I'm the only person I know with 210/210 qp.

Infinity gloves and dragonhide vamps are easier to get and much cheaper. Should something expensive and hard to get not be good? I like the stats, although they are out of balance when I'm fighting some poor guy who doesnt have them. The bonus for mage and ranged are -good-. If they weren't there, it would throw the combat triangle off-the mages and rangers wouldn't have them.

Therefore, although I do agree that they are quite powerful and nice, I disagree that the bonuses are too high. I think they are just about right.

I have 210 quest points, too. I've like always had all the quests done :)

But if you think about it, there's never really been a reward for having many quest points besides the tear's of guthix mini-game time (which isn't that different) (also, legend's and such qp req.'s really aren't high). This is the one quest and reward that requires the lots of qp's, many of those qp's not even being accompanied by much more than a little exp when getting them. So with that, I guess these gloves are justified. They don't give much more better stats in the range or mage, but they really do shine in their melee bonuses (especially str). Also, all of that combined is another convinience that all these qp's earned.

Kudos to you for finishing all the quests :)

But I dont know you outside of the forums, so my point remains :)

211/211 qp now :P

Anyways, For a pure to get these gloves they would have to ruin their puredness (if that's a word) and therefore dragonhide vamps and infinity gloves will still be used often.

I personally love the stats, and hope that they dont get nerfed because I can do damage that I rarely hit potted without them. They really help in training, and family crest gaunts can still be used for what they were supposed to be used for (chaos spells, cooking fish or smelting gold respectively). Klanks gauntlets are easier to obtain for melee, so pures are more likely to use those.

If I get something that lets me own a pure, I'm happy :) Pures are annoying-they are made only to do one thing, which is kill other players. Even worse then the highwaymen who accoust newbs (new players, not noobs, please note) between draynor and draynor mansion, or on the crossroads to falador.

If you think about it, Barrows gloves shouldn't be classed as just melee gloves. Barrows armor ranges from melee, to ranged, and mage (karils ahrims)...So it makes perfect sense that they give +range and +mage

end was the only hard part (besides maybe the monkey cooking req.) The gloves are really good for what you have to do, but they're really awesome because you can't buy them.

i agree with the gloves are a sufficient reward(ok, deja vu right now..) but the monkey bit can be done with about 66 cookin(i had 68) but you need to make some chef's delights for the boost

i took form all2 so if i burne dmine snake i could make another 1 burned the second snake too :(

i had to get alls tuff another time

The Barrows gloves cost 130k, and black vambraces are 10k at the most. The gloves should be better, you to do alot more to get them, and the cost 13X as much.

I like updates that don't just end up a new item for merchanters, and not just any rich player can buy them, Hahaha unlucky pures.

Dark gloves give thier bonus to ALL stats, not just melee. Mages and rangers still get the awesome bonus.

Saying that the dark gloves are insanly hard to get( I have as well). I feel that they should be as good as they are.

Hm... they weren't really that hard to get. Killing all the monsters at the end was the only hard part (besides maybe the monkey cooking req.) The gloves are really good for what you have to do, but they're really awesome because you can't buy them. You have to be strong to get them, so you can't get those bonuses when they would help you way, way too much.

OK PLEASE.... Stop right there.... they are not "DARK GLOVES" they are refferred to as "Barrows Gloves".

And it is suitable since this is the 100th quest so...

First off, wow people complaining about a good reward, craaaazy. What you don't like it because it doesn't match your outfit or something? *boggle*

But you have to put a LOT more work in infinity gloves than in dark gloves... But this doesn't matter anymore, because there are better gloves now :? . I personally think that the dark gloves should only give melee bonusses.

Umm, you pretty much have to do every quest including the hardest ones. And have pretty high levels in a lot of skills. For inifinity you need what? Time and patience, and maybe money?

I was very happy with the reward for RFD. You don't get nice rewards from RS quests very often, it's so strange that you would complain about this. The gloves were designed to be the best gloves for any combat style. I guess it is absolutely true that it is impossible to make everyone happy, even with a great reward.

Why should we buy postage stamps when we can make our own?

Since you need to be able to be Desert Treasure and Legends and Monkey Madness I think the gloves are fair.

You need to have so much stuff to finish the quest entirely, then pay 130k to get them.

The monsters at the end were quite a challenge for me at lvl 88. I nearly died to Karamel a few times because I couldn't hit her/him?
