Not much is known about the mystical place where every day, thousands of uncharged rune stones are mined on all of the 100+ Runescape worlds. This place is known to be a magical place originally lost but then found again by adventurers such as yourself. There is no way to get to the Rune Essence unless you use one of the few mages throughout Runescape who can teleport you there. But there is one thing, only few know, that if it was possible to dig a tunnel through the cave walls of the Rune Essence, you may find yourself popping out on the other end of the tunnel in what could be a land already known, or a place where adventurers have never set foot! If you go to the Rune Essence and stand in the northwestern cave and stand far to the west, right next to the wall, and look on your minimap, you may see something like this:

 

 

One can only guess what that patch of green to the west may be...

I thought it was Zanaris too, but with the new lair they added with the A Fairy Tale Part 1: Growing Pains, the lair would technically be running right into the Rune Ess, so i think it's out of the question.

It's the air altar. You can see a lot of teleport locations from other teleport locations, they're all way up in the north west. THey fixed it, but originally you could see the earth altar from the gravedigger random event, but they have since then moved it. I also saw a noob on newbie island from the bottom of the wizards tower, that was pretty neat.

teleportin is a funny thing. when i folo ppl to the air altar so i can go on forums and they tele, my dude makes a dash towards the crafting guild as opposed to just standing still. jagex probably just programs the different altars and stuff way off to the side.

its an alter, and im preety sure its the air alter

i think lots of these kind of places, where you are transported to somewhere not directly on the map, are located in another place which isnt included on the map. I have found once that if you follow someone, and they go into the law altar, you will start walking toward to the northwest until you reach the shore of entrana and cant go any further.

Theres a few dungeons where I can see other dungeons more easily then this. Im not sure which dungeon it is, but from inside of it, you can see people killing black demons in Tavelry dungeon. I think its the dungeon on Entrana for lost city.

Well isn't it obviously (aint right i know). Runescape isn't just all pieces its 1 BIG map. If you try to cut ant paste you will get one big mag like the creaters of runescape have. All games are bassed on one big map if ye didn't know that.

I would have to say the air temple thingy. I have also seen what appeared to be a forest from another of the temples, I can't remember which one, but it was lower level runecrafting and looked like a bunch of ruins...

I've seen that place lots. I never really thouht about where it might be, but I've always thought it was an alter. Looks like I was right :P

So you guys think it's the air altar eh? Well I say that's a good guess, and I'll see if you guys can use this pic, from the southwestern cavern of the rune ess, as any more proof.

 

If everyboady thinks it is the air alter. Than some body get a pic form air and see i you can find the mine or not.

You can only be near the center of the air alter. You can't go into what you see in the pic, because of cliffs on all sides. And so it'd be impossible to tell one way or the other from the air alter.
