This obviously sets the game for something new, I myself believe that RS has yet to reveal things anew. The diety could possibly be the 5th power, and we have yet to find out who that is. It came from beneath the ground, there were 4 sections to this new area from: Anger, Fear, Confusion, Pain. We could very well possibly have a new set of spells with "Anger, Fear, Confusion, and Pain" spells. It also sets the stage for some updates to combat. We have done 200 damage with the new weapons, could this mean an update to combat that increases damage and hit points? Who knows, only time will tell.

Pain spells

Pretty much every offensize spell is a pain spell as they all cause pain.

this is obviously very controversial in runescape history. if this story is tue then we should expect many changes to come in the game, new armor, new castle wars, new weapons, new tresure trails, a great way for runescape management to "mix it up" and it will cause an imbalence in the power of the gods because, as others have said, each runescape god represents a specific thing good,evil,neutral. what would this god do to the scale? would there be another to balance him/her? but if this isnt true (no offense) this is the biggest runescape hoax in history!

The new 'god' could have either a big or little impact.

 

Big in the fact it could cause imbalance, from the sounds of it towards 'evil' along with Zamorak and possibly becoming a major god in the game meaning new things (aforementioned) like armour, weapons, spells, etc.

 

Little in the fact it becomes more of a 'god' of something lesser than the land of RuneScape, for example, gods of the dead - Icthlarin, elven god - Seren, etc.

this weeks article in my eyes lacks anything to desire i could'nt understand very much of it like if it was reality or fiction

LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE! You won't say what your source is. If its Jagex, it has everyone in a rush about new armors and stuff. If it isn't, they have nothing to look forward to. If this is fiction, everyone will be ticked off at you. This article was irresponsibly published if it was fiction, and if it is from Jagex, it was irresponsible of them to give it to you. It is also inconsistent with the storyline of the game...

That is a good point... This could just be solely for entertainment, or the "Great God" could be a man behind a curtain. But still... Tip.it tends to be the first to know about these kind of things. : P

I don't think it's very likely that the "letter on the Editor's desk" was in actuality from Jagex, so I assume this is purely fiction. I don't think introducing spells and attacks much better than Ancients or Barrows is a good idea, at least at this time.

I stay with Zaros. Whay back when, I rmember "Zaros shall/will come" threads, and put me into his sect. Even if there is a stronger god, I stick with Zaros. Zamorack is afraid of someone, no god should be afradi of somreone, 'cept if they are a false god.

Im not much a follower of the runescape gods. I believe in the one true God. It was a good article but as the bible says. Thou shalt not have other gods. hey good article tho

jk, im thinking that the gods of runescape are like the roman gods, they all rule a specific thing, zamorak the god of evil, guthix of balance, saradomin of good, but what does that make zaros?

 

 

 

 

 

Armadyl is a second god of good and zaros a second god of evil and I dont have a clue about seren

this is obviously causeing doubt in faithful guthix,zamorak,saradomin followers, but for players ,such as myself, with no real affiliaion for any of these gods causes curiosity and intrest in these 'new gods'. i must say that if this is a true statement about a new god then the runescape we all know and love will change forever. but if this is a false statement the drawbacks could be extreme. resulting in perhaps tip.it's demise because of their false reports of gods being told to jagex management! i could be wrong though. id like to know what you think.

In the article, this new god seem to be more destructive than zamorak. This New God name should be very evil and a name should gives out the meaning of true darkness.
