Now granted, I am currently sitting in a battle collecting free experience, but really it amounts to lower-leveled players earning free experience off the work of others. Even as I type this, I'll probably earn a few thousand combat experience pts and never kill a single monster, and when I am active I've noticed TONS of people just sitting in the boat and collecting free exp. In my personal opinion, they might as well just let macros go, I mean its the same concept, have someone else get experience for you, its kind of a joke. I know a lot of people AFK at bandits and stuff, but this is really ridiculous. At least there you run the risk of losing stuff from a random if you don't pay SOME attention, but I can honestly not do a darn thing and just earn thousands of exp in this minigame without the risk of losing a nickel. In fact, I've made 7k GP since starting this post, and lord knows how many thousands of combat exp as I know I've gotten around 6VP so far lol.. *Heres to taking advantage of it before Jagex mucks it all up* :P Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you get on a good team, a game maybe takes 2-3min, thats like 30k exp/hour.. If I'm just straight training I usually get between 30-37k/hour with whip, so for not doing a dang thing its still very good exp. Plus if I'm using it on mage/range/prayer, I don't have to pay for runes/arrows/bones.. =\ I just about guarantee Jagex will have to change this somehow.. From wot i have seen at pest control if everones not helping we fail. The teams change everytime anyway so if one game has a lot of high lvl players the next game could be full of low lvl players. Trying to get on a game with a friend is a challenge in itself. Plus the games are so easy at the mo because its new and everyone is playing when the novelty goes away and its only used for clan trips the game will be almost impossible to do with any players less than combat 80 and u would still need a very large clan Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The game plays for 20 mins where you must defend the Knight, and the portals be MUCH harder to destroy. Most people go with there friends. And now as soon as you climb in the boat your off, and often lose players. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. (Up to level 50s/60s) If the team was made up of higher levels, then it would be very easy to win, but as such it's quite hard as some of the 25 places on each team are wasted by people who don't help greatly. When I went there yesterday, for an hour or so, I looked around on the boat waiting, and the only person I saw in Red was Oddfaery, the rest were all green. One person would 'buy' the boat to the island and gets to decide which people he wants with him and which people should go take a hike. This way you can go with your own clan/group of friends and make sure everyone gets on the game. The cost of the boat should be what gp that player would be paid at the end of the game +10%. This way you can't just go there with 500 gp, buy a boat, win gp in the game and buy another boat from your winnings, you'd actually be losing money on this but you can play the game with the people you want to. I don't think that buying the boat should become mandatory because I mostly go there by myself, I think it should be an option. You would need a minimum list of 15 people to buy the boat and if there are allready more then 15 people on the boat you can't just kick them out, you'll have to wait for the next one or switch worlds. cardovilian Posted April 19, 2006 Share Posted April 19, 2006 Perhaps the xp/gp reward could be related to the number of attacks or repairs you make?I dont mean the amount of damage, because that would be unfair to the lower levels who are distracting spinners etc. or repairing gates (does anyone bother to do that?), but the number of times you swing your sword, cast a spell, or fire an arrow. shade_bandyt Posted April 19, 2006 Share Posted April 19, 2006 most rounds dont even last 2 minutes, so if theres a 2 minute limit to get kicked out, most players will still get a lot of free exp. but i dont understand how you could get exp for not attacking at all? i mean how does the game know what stat to add exp to? suppose youre a pure and you dont do anything, how can you know you wont be awarded a whole bunchof def points to mess up your combat level? after playing the game about 8-10 times, it totally loses its appeal. back to barrows for me Are you a member with a full bank and cancelling your subscription?
